Christmas Wreaths with Laura Ashley

19/11/2014

So last week the little man and I went on a mini adventure across the Severn to Bristol, our favourite city and which we frequently visit, to spend the morning with some lovely bloggers in a beautiful Clifton Cafe - Mockingbird to make some lovely Christmas wreaths thanks to Laura Ashely who provided us with some kits to get creative with.

Firstly I want to say how stunning this simple and stylish little Cafe is and was the perfect venue for a relaxed and creative morning. They provided us with Artisan coffee and divine homemade treats including wholesome granola bars, flapjacks and muffins along with some southern style breakfast muffins with eggs. The kiddos were also made to feel welcome and Lori was great at keeping them entertained. One of the things I also love about blogging is the friendships I have made along the way which are really special and it's always enjoyable meeting up with these creative ladies - Fritha, Jessica, Adele, Laura, Lori and Lotti.

There we also some beautiful bouquets from Lloyds Flowers which we could use to style our wreaths as well as some floral fabrics and it really inspired me to keep my wreath a little bit more natural as I love bringing nature into the home.

The Laura Ashley kits had everything we needed to accessories our wreaths as well as other bits and bobs people had brought to add some colour. There were some beautiful feathers I added to mine along with some autumn leaves Lori had picked up and wooden stars. Jessica made some colourful mini pom-poms and I really enjoyed how everyones had a different twist to it.

The wreath making kits are currently on sale from £40 down to £21 and I highly recommend them as it's so much fun and very satisfying to make and style your own wreath and it's a pretty family friendly activity to do as well and you get tones of accessories and can chop and change to make something special.

  1. Oh wow, what a beautiful idea. I'm actually popping to Laura Ashley tomorrow to try and talk myself out of buying a new bedroom cabinet so I'll see if they have them in.
