Oh La La and Nautical Needs

Ahhh another sunny day (believe in Wales this is a rarity and should be savoured) so it's a good excuse to get this little dress out of the closet. I'm pretty lucky this summer to be a fan of both French style and the Nautical look, which I think this dress combines, even the little buttons down the front have anchors on them and the beret suits the outfit. All I need now is to find a really big anchor necklace, anyone know of a good place to find one of those? Also I cannot seem to stop wearing my brogues, I just love the vintage feel they give me when I wear them, although I should stop otherwise I will do what I always do with new shoes is destroy them in the first few weeks.

Also my summer His and Her must have are espadrilles....yes I know this is old news....and if I could I would just buy Sperry Boat shoes all the time but Espadrilles also offer a cheaper solution to a wear and throw away at the end summer shoe. Anyway I am in love with these Office Anchor Espadrilles for girls and these Fred Perry's for boys

SO my obsessions of late are spring flowers, anything vintage with the colour brown and teacups and sodabars....aswell as my current favourite fashion icon Zooey Deschanel, who just seems to look to cool in anything she wears. Besides being a talent actress she is also part of the quirky two piece band She and Him. At the moment I just cannot seem to get enough of her style (as seen below)

I am also in love with this silly little film by She and Him

So lately I have been going to this cute and super cheap coffee shop that has all the things a tucked away retroesque coffeeshop should have...queue teapots shaped as giant muffins and an array of home-made cakes and floral curtains. Also I just cannot get enough of my little trusty pentax Ashi at the moment....I really do prefer it over my digital SLR which I have to say I don't use very much....also a friend happened to pick up a little Kodak medium format box camera in mint condition which I am looking forward to using over the summer.

So lots has happened since Xmas and I have been unable to keep up with my blog, but I'm back and back for good. Firstly I moved in with my wonderful boyfriend in the New Year and it took us till March to get the internet connected (everything takes longer than you think - to get a BT line then sky to connect internet...argh!) Also there is big big news which will very quickly come apparent. But otherwise everything is good and I am looking forward to the summer and I love love love the boho/festival look which is coming back (again :).
I have also been quite busy with my photography and I am nearly finished my professional photographic website and also shot a wedding over a month ago which was an experience, also two of my photo's where selected to be part of the Mail Art exhibition in Glasgow during Jan this year, aswell as there exhibition magazine. If your local to Cardiff or South Wales there is also a charity fashion show happening this weekend at the Cardiff International pool on Sat 24th April, the ticket prices are £10 but with labels such as Hudson and Hudson, Perfect Lingerie and Newport Fashion students showcasing their work, it will be worth it. So here is just a happy little spring outfit....my legs are very white and in need of a tan. I am wearing my boyfriends Cazals that I bought him for Christmas...the original Run DMC nerd glasses!
