Exploring West Wales with the Fiat 500L

Last month we enjoyed a lovely little break away in West Wales, an area of the UK we love as it offers so much spectacular coastline and landscapes and a lot of opportunities to explore the outdoors and get away from it all and enjoy the fresh air. It was great to have some quality time away before the baby came and we were incredibly lucky with the weather and enjoyed two sunny (although still cold) days outside having fun, running on the beach, walking around Tenby and playing mini golf at Heatherton Park, as well putting the Fiat 500L Beats to the test.

After we packed everything up in the car, which is like a tardis and has so much boot space, for once we were not short on road trip storage space. We headed towards Pembrokeshire and Heatherton Adventure park which we had heard offers lots of outdoor fun for little ones including very cool Pirate Mini Golf and Drive school which Mr A loved.

We enjoyed a little pit stop in Heatherton cafe for some coffee and a cheeky flapjack, unfortunately as we had spent so much time running around the park they were no longer serving meals but never fear that meant we had the chance to go to a lovely quirky pub in Tendy called The Lighthouse, which was lovely and warm on a fresh winter evening.

Before our pub meal however we spent an hour walking around Tendy which is equally beautiful at dusk as it is at dawn. We even headed down to the beach for some night-time castle building and it was really refreshing to walk around this beautiful seaside village when it's so quiet as during the summer months it's heaving with tourists and holiday makers and it was surprisingly warm for this time of the year as well making is a pleasant evening for all of us.

So Tenby is around two hours from where we live and once you get onto the smaller roads it's a really pleasant drive. The Fiat 500L Beats was incredibly comfortable for the whole family with traction control should you need it as well as an excellent sound system, built in Sat Nav and rear view camera for when you are reversing but what we found best of all was the fuel efficiency which compared to our current car was next level, during the two weeks of trialling the car we only filled it up once and during this time we went to Cosmeston, Cardiff, up the valleys and to West Wales. Overall a big thumbs up from us and I cannot wait to share part 2 with you.
