Mini Spring Adventures

outdoor fun

So since having baby G we have slowly been getting back out there as like some of you may already know we don't like to stay still for long and with spring arriving we have tried to make the most of every dry day with some kind of mini adventure wether it be at the park down the road, planting seeds in our back garden  or a picnic further afield, we have been enjoying the spring sunshine and while I am still recovering from the c-seeciton my Cosatto Giggle Stroller has been a god-send on these adventures with the little man being tucked up nice and cosy.

My mother, Mr A, baby G and I enjoyed a lovely picnic in oath park with some yummy fresh food, hummus, pittas to dip and what not after which we enjoyed a little walk around the greenhouse followed by feeding the swans some bird seeds. It's these simple pleasures that we really love and enjoy the most and seeing all the flower buds starting to pop up is very exciting, can't wait for all the outdoor fun we have planned this summer.

We have also been slowly trying to get our garden ready, pulling weeds, tidying the boarders and hopefully if I get some free time to mow the lawn and clean out our mini greenhouse in preparation for growing some veggies. We were also send some bulbs from Bakker Spalding who are celebrating their 70th birthday and we cannot wait to see what pops up from our bulb collection, hopefully something bright and fun to add some much needed colour to our garden.

De-weeding and making room for our bulbs.
What mini adventures have you been getting up to this spring?

  4. Your big boy must suddenly look very grown up next to baby G, well done all of you for managing to get outside and enjoy some family with a newborn. A picnic always makes me feel summer is on the way even if it is still really chilly at nights at the moment. I love the garden helper too, i hope he was good at telling the weeds from the plants, we had all sorts of issues around his age! Thank you for sharing your lovely spring family photos on Country Kids.

  5. I admire how much you do with your little man. I never was very good at organising day outs and activities for my kids when they were that young and now they're both at school I only get the chance to do things with them in the holidays. I'm sure you appreciate these pre-school days. Precious moments to cherish that you'll both remember when you're older. Love the dinosaur onesie BTW! Tx
