The Waykee

08/05/2013

John being a denim lover, especially for vintage denim was asked to pop in USC Cardiff and check out Diesel's new mens style for SS13 called the Waykee. As part of the launch of the new fit, Diesel has invited influential bloggers from each major city to review the Waykee so we were really chuffed to be asked to represent Wales. The day was all about mens wear but I tagged along to take some photos.

When we arrived in USC we were met by the manager who gave us a run down of all the different styles and cut, immediatly both if us were impressed with the large selection of denim in the store, I think by far the biggest in Cardiff.

The Waykee is the next step on from Diesels best selling style The Larkee but has had a few tweaks here and there with the main differences being a higher rise waist and are slightly more tapered from the knee down, basically meaning a much more flattering fit for the modern man.

The come in three different types of fit - straight leg, regular fit and cigarette leg and are all embellished with the iconic diesel patches - made to last and 1979

John went for the regular-straight cut and tried on both the black and dark denim and I have to say from a women's perspective that I really like the cut on the jeans, it's tapered in all the right places and it's great to see mens jeans with a shape and tailored look. John said the denim and finish is quality and they are made in Italy and feel like they are built to last.

We had a great time in USC, which is a store we don't often go into as we tend to shop in the arcades and independent stores but the staff were very friendly and informative and we were very impressed with the denim selection and is a great place for men to come and try and new style, such as the Waykee.

Here is John wearing his Waykee's paired with a Ralph Lauren Polo shirt and Vera shows.

Diesel were kind enough to give John a pair of Waykee jeans, the review and post is however our own thoughts and we aim to be honest at all times.
