Street Style Sunday - Boys Club

Mr A wears Pumpkin Patch jacket and t-shirt, Name it trousers and Vans mid-tops So this week I thought it was a bit long overdue since we had a Boys Club post and with the season changing so are what they are wearing. Mr A has been enjoying a few new pieces from House of Fraser who set me a challenge to put an outfit together for under £50 which we managed to do as they have an amazing kids selection and feel this outfit is perfect for an active day outside or a playdate with friends. I thought we would go with a autumn shade and we both love these Name It slim leg trousers. Also Mr A has recently discovered Camo and Army print and sometimes that can be little bit over the top but this very light camo Pumpkin Patch t-shirt is not in anyway overbearing but still very fun, as is the light but warm Pumpkin Patch jacket John wears Patagonia top, Ralph Lauren Jeans and Vera shoes John is also really enjoying the slightly colder climate as he is very much a long sleeve, layer......

Boys Club and classic cars

So over the weekend we went to a classic car show at St Fagans -  it was a beautiful day and the cars were shining and glistering in the sun. With an array of vintage morris minors, my favourite being the Morris Traveller, a car I so wish to own and have long summer adventures by the sea in. The two boys were in the their element, with John checking out some American imported classic and Mr A running around like the cheeky monkey his is. It's funny how boys naturally love motorcars, it seems simply built-in to their DNA. It was great for John and Mr A to have a real man bonding day, although I have to say I enjoyed as much as them, as I have never liked new cars and my heart lies with the vintage ones. Mr A also got to try out his new shorts printed with fish and was a present from the Grandmother. The Waykee

John being a denim lover, especially for vintage denim was asked to pop in USC Cardiff and check out Diesel's new mens style for SS13 called the Waykee. As part of the launch of the new fit, Diesel has invited influential bloggers from each major city to review the Waykee so we were really chuffed to be asked to represent Wales. The day was all about mens wear but I tagged along to take some photos. When we arrived in USC we were met by the manager who gave us a run down of all the different styles and cut, immediatly both if us were impressed with the large selection of denim in the store, I think by far the biggest in Cardiff.  Large Selection The Waykee is the next step on from Diesels best selling style The Larkee but has had a few tweaks here and there with the main differences being a higher rise waist and are slightly more tapered from the knee down, basically meaning a much more flattering fit for the modern man. A little spring adventure

We love getting out in the fresh air, especially with Arthur, he loves trees and woodland and pebble collecting and it's really good for the soul. Spring and Summer are my favourite months, I love the beach, roadtrips, bbq's and lots of laughs, I mean I am from South Africa so it's in my blood to be out in the sun. So recently we have had some sunny days here in Wales and thought we would go to St Fagans outside museum for a springtime adventure. Arthur loved it and totally walked himself out. It was also the perfect weather to wear my new Pure Collection cashmere capelet, as it was warm but not warm enough just for long-sleeve shirt, kept me nice and snug, John also finally wore the St James Jumper I bought for him last christmas from Oi Polloi We also had a lovely cream tea...yum yum I'm wearing - Pure Collection Cashmere Capelet, Zara longsleeve, Next black jeans, Asos Penny loafers Shoes, Vintage sunglasses John wears - St James jumper, Albam jeans, ......

Weekend Adventure

So I am shooting two weddings Caerphilly castle this summer and though it was time to have a little research adventure there, since it's only about 30min from where we live. I have been a few times before although John has never been - which I could not believe, since we live so close. It was very chilly and the big rooms keep no heat, but they have restored more of the castle and now you can go right up to the top of the towers and into the great hall. It's an amazing location, with a large moat around the castle that people fish in. Unfortunately I had abit of a cold and any sense of style seemed to go out of the window in favour of comfort, but my two boys are looking great in there unintentionally similar jackets. Favourite photoshoots of 2011

 So in 2011 I graduated from my photography degree and really started pushing for freelance work as well as setting up my own mini studio, so it was quite a year. 2011 Mini Link list

So another year has passed - I cannot quite believe it, especially since this year has been soo big for us, Arthur was 3 months at the start of it and now he is walking and almost talking and being a super cheeky 15month old, I cannot believe how much he has grown. I have also graduated my Photography Degree and set up my own company - LCS Photographic  which has been going well and it's wonderful having a studio setup in the house. John has started working in an amazing traditional barbershop in the City Centre....a gentleman's retreat...cut throats and hot towels shaves and facials. We are now looking to moving closer to the city centre of Cardiff and I cannot wait.
