Just over year down the line from having Baby G and my body is still changing but I am starting to feel a little bit more like me again. I am still breastfeeding him so this does affect what I can and cannot wear which is probably why one of my got to pieces this seasons are dungaree dresses, shorts and workwear style as not only are they super comfortable and practical but also on trend. I am also very into navy blues and browns at the moment and I love my new Oasis Winnie Weave bag from House of Fraser I am also trying to be more conscious when it comes to new purchases or re-using and up-cycling clothing. I recently picked up a beautiful top from an Oxfam shop which I will share with you soon but as they say Rome was not built in a day so I am trying to add at least one ethical item into my daily outfit choices. My two blogging friends Mel and Vicky have started the #EthicalFashionCollective on the first Friday of each month where you can share your stylish ethical o......

Finding the perfect fit
The struggle for finding the perfect pair of jeans is real and something I have always encountered as being just under 5ft has meant standard jeans are always too long making it no easy task to find a pair that just fit's without having to alter them in some way. After asking my readers if they have ever faced a denim dilemma it was very clear that most women in some way also struggle to find the perfect fit, many with similar problems to mine in terms of length as the standard size is really not one size fit's all and is equally a problem for not only petite women but also taller ones. Some of the other common issue which were apparent is having a different size around the thighs and waist leaving gaps and ill fitted sections or skinny jeans becoming baggy in certain areas or simply not knowing how to pick the right style for the look you are trying to achieve or for your body shape. Marks and Spencer 's got in touch to see if I could find the perfect pair for......

Street Style Sunday - Simplicity
As with life things are always changing, another year passes, we slowly say goodbye to another summer, we get a little older and your tastes change, your outlook on certain things or how you live...life really is a work in progress. Personally I know that I am more grateful and content than I have been before, I have realised how less really is more and that I get comfort from familiar things, fabrics, foods, flowers. So as the summer comes to an end I wanted to enjoy this indian summer in my favourite fabric - denim with this W collection chambray which I have paired up with a pair of Topshop black jeans, H&M hat, New Look bag and some stylish, sporty and also super comfy Etnies from The Board basement Summer is my favourite season of the year although honestly it felt like it never really got started this year, we had a heat wave right at the start and then in Wales it pretty much rained from then onwards, all the playsuits, shorts, skirts and dresses never really g......

Street Style Sunday - McArthurGlen
Laura wears Denim dress from Next, Clarks sandals, Firmoo sunglasses, Paul Costello bag So I was recently invited to go and explore my local designer outlet McArthurGlen in Bridgend to see what they had to offer, not only for me but the whole family. We have been before but not for a while and were excited to see the redeveloped play area as well as new stores. First stop though was to hire a car for Mr A, they are ingenious really as the centre quite big and I know without these push cars Mr A would get bore pretty quickly but they have planned the centre with kids in mind. We picked up a variety of things including this denim t-shirt dress from Next which is perfect for summer and have paired it up with some Clarks Original sandals, Firmoo sunglasses and a Paul Costello bag. At McArthurGlen I also picked up two vintage style tops from M&S and Fatface while Mr A loved the Vans store and Mountain Warehouse while John went for a little something from Timberland an......

Street Style Sunday - Denim & white
Well spring has truly arrived which means the thick winter coats are out and thinner summer ones are in which means I have had the chance to wear this thin spring parka I picked up last year from H&M as well as this loose monochrome Blooming Marvellous shirt which is perfect for feeding and post-pregnancy style as it's tailored in just the right places. I am also happy that I am now back into my normal jeans, especially these very well worn and naturally torn jeans from Next paired up with an Asos braided belt, Ralph Lauren shoes and silver bracelet from East. Blooming Marvellous shirt, H&M Parka, Asos belt, Nxt jeans, Ralph Lauren shoes, East bracelet Hope you can come and join in with this Street Style Sunday - anything fashion related goes from outfit posts to inspirational mood boards An InLinkz Link-up ...

Street Style Sunday - Beachside Casual
Last weekend we decided it would be a good time to have one last break away being 38 weeks pregnant it would be our last mini-break for at least the next 6 weeks or so. We decided to jump in the car and head to Tenby in West Wales for a night and wow we were so lucky with the weather and had an amazing time exploring the coast, playing mini golf and running on the beach, at one point it was so mild we took our jackets off! Of course it's been a little harder the past few weeks to find clothes that accommodate the bump in a comfortable and stylish way but these stretchy skinny black trousers from Mothercare are so soft and since I am a huge fan of black I have been wearing them a lot lately and paired it up with a Asos Maternity slouch tee and Ralph Lauren denim chambray, Timex watch and gifted snood. Laura wears Ralph Lauren chambray, ASOS maternity tee, Mothercare skinny jeans, Moorlands Boots It was lovely to spend some quality time outdoors with the family, by the......

Street Style Sunday - Boys Club
John in Edwin Jeans, Eastland shoes and Universal works socks This weeks Street Style Sunday is all about what John has been wearing of late and some things he picked up over the Christmas period. One of his bigger purchases was a pair of Eastland Oxford shoes and Universal works socks which pair up really well with these tapered Edwin jeans from Woodhouse Clothing . John has a few pairs of Edwin jeans, it's one of his go to Denim brands as the fit, taper and quality never fail and Woodhouse has a great selection as well as a few other top menswear brands including Barbour, Nudie jeans, Penfield and Woolrich to name a few. John wears Ralph Lauren Jacket, Carhartt jumper, Edwin Jeans, Eastland shoes There are a few things with investing in and one of those is a good pair of jeans. John has a few pairs he has had for years and actually look better with age and I think that is down to the denim being very good quality and hey jeans never go out of style. As alw......
Loving my new Polka Dot Converse Rocking a casual look in Cardiff We love Converse in our house, they are our go to casual shoe, perfect for running around after a toddler or having a day out in the city. I love how you can either go with the traditional black and white style or pick one of their fun patterns and colours. I was recently sent this lovely polka dot pair from Office shoes and I have been wearing them pretty much every day since. Mr A pairing up denim and cons John wearing his Jack Purcell Converse Both John and Mr A are also fans and it's great that they make practical, comfy and on-trend shoes for the whole family. To me converse are a bit like denim they are pretty fail safe options and never go out of fashion. Anyway it's that time of the week again when I join up with the lovely Natalie over at Style Me Sunday to bring you #StreetStyleSunday linky - you can join in with any fashion related posts - mood boards, inspira......

Johns new shirt and Introducing Haxby
John wearing Albam shirt, Edwin Jeans and Jack Purcell Converse So you may think John has a lot of shirts like this, in this shade, well apparently not (this is what I have been told) it's a different kind of fit with a rounder edge at the bottom and as he described it it's more of an a relaxed "artist" fit over that of a tailored shirt and it comes from one of his favourite brands - Albam. it's smart enough for work but also casual enough for a walk outside with the family and pairs up well with his Edwin Jeans and Jack Purcell Converse and Ralph striped socks. On Side Street Style we also love to showcase brands that we are currently loving and thought we would share our recent new find in menswear that is Haxby, which mainly focuses on denim but also has some interesting sunglasses, belts and shoes. Quality men’s wear is comprised of a few different characteristics. It must be durable and of high quality to meet all of the demands of the day......
