How to Wear Cufflinks
*AD This post contains affiliate links Firstly what are Cufflinks? Cufflinks put simply are an alternative for buttons on the cuffs of shirts. Some shirts, especially formal dress shirts, are made without any buttons at all. They often have simple holes, perfect for cufflinks to come in to tie the cuffs together! Cufflinks offer the wearer to showcase a bit more of their own personal style, and add a bit of flash to a formal outfit. History of the Cufflinks Wearing cufflinks became common place until around the end of the 18th Century. It was in the 19th Century, with the emergence of a bigger middle class, that more and more men came to wear suits and tails for the day and evening respectively. It was at the end of the 19th Century when cufflinks really became popular. It seemed like every man (and some women) in the upper and middle classes wore cufflinks. The industrial revolution helped keep up with the demand for cufflinks, as they could be easily mass-pro......

Awesome Gift Ideas for Fathers Day
I always feel that Dads get a little typed cast and opting for a gift box of Lynx is certainly not going to cut the mustard. As they say it's the thought that counts and of course it does which is why instead of purchasing a few things that are not actually useful or realistically will be used what is the point? I always feel less is more and getting one very thoughtful gift is far better than a few cliche buys. I have been working with Braun to share my thoughts on sensitive Dads and how their whole world changes when they become parents just like us mums. You can read more about it here . Of course the Braun Series 3 ProSkin is a fantastic option for Dads this year and a number one choice but I thought I would share a few other unique gifts for the man in your life. 1. Klean Kanteen insulated steel bottle by Patagonia £29 2. Fjallraven Greenland Backpack £105 3. Ralph Lauren Breton Striped Top £95 4. Asos Vintage round sunglasses £12......

Street Style - My Kanken
Since my youngest has started running around like really keeping me on my toes I have dropped the changing backs and wanted to opt for something more practical but also very stylish to carry our day to day essentials. Of course, the first thing that came to mind was a Kanken by the Swedish outdoor brand Fjall Raven, a backpack that was designed in 1978 and has continued its popularity through it's simple and modern design. Wearing Kanken backpack, Toyshop chambray, Jojo Mama Bebe dress Sometimes when I do go out I opt for a smarter bag but these are perfect for when your busy and on the go, plus the choice of colour waves is amazing. I decided to opt for this fun blue one which adds a pop of colour to any casual outfit. Today I paired it up with a Chambray from Toyshop and a dress from Jojo Mama Bebe and necklace from Anchor and Crew. As daily backpacks go these are these are slightly more pricey than normal high street brands (but far more durable) retailing at a......

Street Style - Infinities Menswear
It's not often I catch John laughing or smiling on camera, not that he is a grumpy guy but rather just a very reserved person although he has a very dry sense of humour, in this shot he was making fun of how I stand for outfit posts and was doing some pretty hilarious versions, although it's nice to show a lighthearted moment. I may have mentioned this before on the blog but John is extremely meticulous and particular about what he wears, his style and wardrobe is far more curated than mine, I am at times not sure of what direction I want to go in but there is something good about knowing what works for you and feeling comfortable in that style. He approach is a very simple one, less is more, quality over quantity and looking after your clothes properly - he has a pair of Red Wings which are more than 15yrs old but they certainly don't look it. So when Infinities got in touch asking what John would actually like for Valentines day over chocolate or stuffed a......

Like father like son
When we found out we were expecting our son many moons ago now John was so excited to be having a boy to pass down his passion for films, books, music and clothes. He wanted to instil that less is more, that a good quality suit will serve you for years to come and plans to pass down his Red Wing boots which are already more than 10yrs old yet the soles are going as strong as the day he bought them. Mr A is now coming into his own in terms of what he likes and what is comfortable for him to wear. He loves outdoor clothing, hard wearing boots as well as warm winter jumpers. John thought he would share a little wisdom when it comes to essential mens wear tips and must haves. Every stylish father and son's closet should include a list of wardrobe essentials that range from casual Friday staples to special occasion basics. The list isn’t very long, but the pieces are definite must-haves. Here’s a breakdown of those quintessential items that every dude needs to have i......

Street Style Sunday - Denim Dress
As I have said before it can be pretty hard to find dresses that are post-pregnancy and feeding appropriate but when I came across this simple denim style dress from Zara I thought it would be perfect for a casual summer look, paired up with some gold slip-ons also from Zara and my black Paul Costello bag. John has also recently picked up a Beams Plus summer jacket and shirt and paired it up with Edwin Jeans and Clarks YMC loafers. As we have been so busy this past month, going away a few times and lots of day trips to London, it's been important to be fairly practical as there has been a lot of long hours on our feet but still wanting to remain stylish, so for summer it's all about loafers, espadrilles and sandals and it's great to wear them while we can as the UK summer is always too short for my liking. I would love you to come and join in with Street Style Sunday and share anything fashion related. An InLinkz Link-up ...

Fathers Day Gifts for heart & home
How cute is this French bulldog card from Etsy So fathers day will soon be upon us and it's one of those wonderful days of there year we get to celebrate our partners, husbands, Dads or in fact any man in our life who has a positive impact. I always like to find something a bit different and fun, something that will bring a smile to my OH face and thought I would put a little gift guide together from the small little touches to the bigger gestures, lets treat the men in our lives. 1. John is not a jewellery kind of guy but I have to say I do love these Anchor and Crew necklaces from JewelStreet and they make some amazing unisex and ladies pieces as well (so you could always nab it for a bit). 2. We both love travel as does Mr A so this custom compass is something that could also be passed down from father to son. 3. Johns favourite city and many others is New York so when I came across this book on Find a Present about the faces, humans and street style in New......

Street Style Sunday - Johns Jacket
It's that time of the week again for Street Style Sunday and I hope some of you can come and join in. I thought since John recently purchased this jacket it was time to do a little mens outfit post as he actually has a larger wardrobe than I do (which will be immediately rectified when we move later this year). He wore this outfit earlier in the week when we managed to get away for 2 hours and enjoy and amazing afternoon tea (post to come). Eastland shoes, Edwin Jeans, Ralph Lauren shirt, Beams jacket So this week John is wearing a Beams jacket, Ralph Lauren Shirt, Edwin jeans and Eastland shoes. I have also picked up a few new things that past week and starting to get around to updating my wardrobe for summer so lots more outfit posts on the way. Come and share what you have been wearing this week or what has been inspiring you An InLinkz Link-up ...
