Friday vibes - interiors

Would love a window like this ( image ) Its Friday and it's been a long week, the wifi has been playing up and a backlog created but in my heart and soul it's all about the summer relaxed vibes even if life is hectic. I am dreaming of floor to ceiling windows, natural light flooding in, slow breakfasts and fresh flowers, handwoven rugs and small adventures - what are you dreaming of this Friday? How beautiful is this boho interior ( image ) I need a hammock in my life ( image ) ...

Easy Sunday Morning

Sometimes I wish I could stay in bed all day ( image ) We make life what it is, we see the things we want to see. On sundays I like to look for the whimsical, the lazy, the cosy, the calm to the start of the day. Is there really anything better than a lazy sunday morning with american pancakes (preferable made by someone else) and a fresh cup of coffee wrapped in a soft quilted throw in a wonderfully light kitchen with large windows...well we can all dream and why not I say...life is too short not too. How cute are these ( image ) What I want to wake up too ( image ) ...

Living Wild and Free

Summer florals, outdoor picnics and indoor inspiration ( image ) Do you ever wake up and wish that you lived in a home that was truly inspiring for the soul, a place that merged the outdoors, the freedom and wildness of it all with all the homely comforts. Since I was very young I always envisaged that my forever home would be somewhere slightly offbeat, a little quirky, perhaps not to everyones taste but a place I found inspiring and a little bit wild. I like to remind myself of this dream, especially on a Monday when the week feels so long. I thought I would share some images from my favourite Pinterest board - Inspired Living so keep the creative juices flowing throughout the week. Would love my bedroom to look like this ( image ) How beautiful is this blanket teepee ( image ) Says it all ( image ) ...

Inspired Wedding

Wedding rings have been around for thousands of years and appeared in hundreds of cultures. Although the tradition is ubiquitous, however, new trends and designs have always appeared, such as matched sets, diamond settings, or scrollwork. With modern technology, there’s a new option out there that can make every ring unique: personalised inscriptions. A custom engraving is a great way to make a ring truly your own—but what to put on it? Here are some of the top inscription ideas. Short and Simple Ideas One of the simplest and most traditional choices is the name of your spouse. This is a good way to symbolize the commitment and keep each other close even when you are separated. A more intimate or even humorous choice is to use each other’s pet names. Another basic option is to engrave the date of the wedding, which along with immortalising the day will help to prevent forgotten anniversaries. Sweet Phrases There are many short words or phrases that you can use to make the r......

Wedding Dress Questions You’ve Always Wanted to Ask

The wedding ceremony is the event when, “every step you take, every move you make—they’ll be watching you.” It sounds like a corny rendition of a classic, but it’s true. The moment you set foot on the aisle, all eyes will be upon you. Many brides feel self-conscious because of this, but keep in mind that in truth, the only gaze that really matters is of The One who’s waiting for you at the other end of the aisle. This is why it helps to look and feel your best on your wedding day, and to feel beautiful, you have to have the right dress. You may have seen intricate ball gowns in magazines, embroidered Lazaro wedding dresses in websites , and sleek A-lines on television, but which one of them is for you? How will you go about finding the right dress? Newly-engaged brides have a lot of questions, from picking out the style to trying one on. The best tip for the baffled bride? Ask! W hat should I wear? There are many wedding dress styles to choose from, ea......

Dreamy Bedroom

So we are hoping to move in a couple of months, once we have found the right place to move to that is, but my mind is already very much in dream mode, colour schemes and what our new home may look like. One thing for sure is that we are going to get a new bed - the time has come, for a bigger, family sized bed, as our little man loves to lie between us in the morning or when he has had a bad dream during the night. I love so many different looks from Boho chic, French inspired interiors, natural and nomadic to New York loft and city chic. When it comes to the perfect bedroom the bed is my number one priority. It's needs to be big and soft, with a comfortable but firm mattress adorned with lovely throws, blankets and pillows. The headboard is also important as it frames the bed, creates the style and a lot of thought needs to go into choosing which one you want, I love vintage metals ones, as well as the more natural wooden frames, but I think once we know what our new house looks......

Osborn shoes first look book

One of my first posts on this blog was about Osborn shoes . I love their individuality and quirkiness and I was so excited to see their new look book for winter/spring 2010/2011. What is also great is these shoes are hand-made in a time honoured old-world totally sweat-shop free environment and each shoe is signed by the maker as a testament to the sense of pride for the maker, as well as its wearer. The materials are also fairly traded and locally sourced, so not only are they super fashionable but also good for everyone involved. I love the whimsical images in this look book and the little behind the scenes film is inspiring....
