Change Your Wardrobe Change Your Life? Clothes Can Make A Difference

Can dressing better improve your life? Personally when I feel good in the clothes I am wearing whether it's just casual attire or a little bit more dressed up for an evening out I do feel better. The way you dress influences perceptions, and in certain situations that count, like work, it may create a more positive impression. Often, dressing well also changes how you feel about yourself and make you feel empowered, for example if you go to work  dressed in a sharp and stylish way it can make you feel more confident, which can translate into more productivity, especially when it comes to speaking up at a meeting, or negotiating a contract. The same can be said during the school run or in social circumstances. Of course this isn't always possible if your a busy parent, things do slip, I know they do for me anyway so decluttering your wardrobe and developing a capsule wardrobe is key for being able to put outfits together quickly and on the go that you know are goi......

Street Style Sunday - Boys at the Wedding

So two weeks ago we attended Johns brothers wedding - John was the best man and Mr A was the page boy. Even though John always wears a shirt and tie and occasionally a suit to work it's wonderfully refreshing seeing both of them all dressed up so smartly. John usually wears his Boss suit to such things but on this occasion the groom had picked these ones from Next and I have to say I am impressed with the quality of them, he paired this up with a Ralph Lauren shirt and Grenson brogues. With Mr A we picked up his outfit from Monsoon which has wonderful clothes for boys and girls attending such events. It was the first time Mr A every wore a tie and waist coat and I was hesitate as I thought he may want to pull it off all the time but actually he loved looking just like Daddy and wore his waistcoat to sleep and the whole of the next day. We even managed to get a rare picture of the both of us. You can see what I wore from my last weeks Street Style Sunday ......

So as many of you know John is a traditional cut throat barber, working in Cardiff City at a great Gentleman's retreat that is Bentley and Co . His work is a good reflection of his personality as he takes care in his appearance and pride in what he does. His working week style fluctuates but he tends to not wear anything to expensive as he clothes can get covered in hair during the day and he likes to separate work from home. This however doesn't mean you can't look smart with his take on the modern working man.
