Amsterdam - the perfect child-free weekend destination

When you’ve got young kids, nothing beats a family holiday . Getting away together is a fantastic way to spend quality time, keep the youngsters engaged, and even teach them a thing or two. One thing’s sure getting them used to flying and new cultures when they’re young is always a bonus. Why Amsterdam is the Perfect Family destination

Around this time last year we were coming back from a week-long trip to Amsterdam, we had spent a few days in London before taking the train down to the coast and the overnight ferry to the Hoek of Holland, then a high-speed train into the city as part of the Rail Sail ticket Stena Lines offers. Our Ultimate to-do List for Travelling with Kids in Sicily

Having lunch at Babylon in Kensington, London If you are a regular reader of our blog you will know we have a real soft spot for London and it's really hard to not fall in love with this vibrant, exciting and fast paced city. We are lucky enough to have a direct train from Cardiff which reaches the capital within two hours but as London is so vast and with so much to do and see we often opt for over nights or do a week long trip once a year, that way we can enjoy the city rather than rush around it in a day, which is always stressful. Brussels - a Cultural City Break

A warm evening walk through the Grand Place So as some of you already know earlier this month we went to Brussels on a little short break with Mr A in tow, you can read about our lovely time on the Eurostar , which got us to the centre of Brussels in just over 2 hours. I have been to Brussels before a few times but never for longer than 2-3 hours at a time while I would be waiting for a train/plane connection of some sort so it was lovely to be able to explore the city for four full days and see what it was all about. We were lucky enough to stay in two amazing hotels, first The Dominican and second the Marriott (reviews to follow).
