Dreaming of a Christmas in Kefalonia, Greece

Myrtos Beach in Kefalonia I have been to Greece a few times with my parents - we generally avoided large resorts and enjoyed Island hoping to some of the smaller islands such as Poros and Hydra being two of my favourite and I have some very fond memories of our times there, including coming across a beautiful secluded restaurant 2 miles up a hill through a lemon grove, no other customers were there and the owner made us feel so welcome and cooked us a real feast, he then showed us a nearby waterfall, it was one of those magical days. I would love to return to Greece with John and the little man as there are so many places to visit and with such friendly locals, warm weather, blue sea and wonderful food what more could you ask for in a holiday destination. I am particularly drawn to Kefalonia as even though it's one of the larger Ionia Islands it's actually one of the less inhabited and is great for a quiet, relaxed and outdoor filled holiday, which is something I reall......

A tour of New York’s artiest highlights

Someday soon hopefully we will travel to the Big Apple as a family ( image ) John has been lucky enough to visit New York three times and even though I have been to America I have never been to this amazing city and one day we hope to go together, as a family with the little man in tow of course. Even though John spent a lot of time going to various markets, exploring Brooklyn, visiting record stores and taking in all the street art he did miss out a lot of historically important Artistic highlights and places that would be on my list of must do. We have put together a list of places we would like to go together to be creatively inspired and hopefully it won't be too long of a wait before we can make this list a reality. Beautiful loft apartment ( image ) First of all to start off our cultural and artistic trip I would love to stay in a warehouse conversation or large windowed Manhattan loft, I mean why not, you only get to do these things every now and the......

Sunday dreaming - food, interior and all things good

Indulgent pancakes - they way to start a sunday ( image ) If anyway was made for dream Sunday was, it's one of those days when my mind wonders to wonderful places, enticing smells of exotic food, dreams of lying on a hammock near white golden sands or putting the key into a beautiful red door of my dream home and why not I say - what would the world be without wonderful dreams. These look simply amazing I think my love of whimsical Sundays has come from my mothers love of a lazy brunch. Growing up in South Africa sundays were always long sunny affairs that were spent taking things slow, she was the master of putting together beautiful sundays brunches with french toast, different jams, frittatas, freshly squeeze lemonade from our lemon tree and all of us sat around the table outside overlooking the garden and simply enjoying the peace, quiet and family time together. Growing up I never wanted to live anywhere else - I have a happy childhood and loved our hom......

Pin it forward

Ahh Pinterest you are the source of so much inspiration, such a wonderful tool to visually bookmark your loves, likes and Internet gems. I use it to share my love for travel, fashion, interiors, ethical products and chic baby stuff, it's also my place to dream of the perfect home, adventures and wonderful road trips and my favourite board, that I am going to be sharing with you today is Inspired Living . This board is important to me as I have always been a free spirit, I lived in a campervan for a whole summer in Cornwall and travel across Europe and the UK over the span of nearly two years mainly on my own and growing up outdoors in South Africa has lead me to love the simple quirky things in life, it's a bit hard to do those things now with a family and a little one but this board allows me to dream and full my heart with the things that make it happy, here are my favourite pins.... If you have not heard of Pinterest before you should really......
