Ladies day vintage race style ( image ) It's that time of year again – the Cheltenham Festival 2015 is just two months away, with the festivities kicking off from 10th March. To me it's always the signal that spring is on it's way and my mind drifts to summer days drinking Pimm's with friends or picnics or days spent looking stylish at the races. Three days of fun, fizz and fluttering on our favourites will ensue, but for certain racegoers, there's only one day that will truly be the highlight of the festival – Ladies' Day. Taking place on Wednesday 11th March, the day will be a chance for ladies from all walks of life to show off their fashion flair. If you're lucky enough to be in attendance this year, make sure you're equipped with some of these key trends for spring/summer 2015. Afternoon Tea at The Park House Cardiff
We were recently asked to review somewhere new in Cardiff and had heard great things about The Park House - a beautiful Victorian building overlooking the museum which used to be a members only establishment but has opened up to the public in the past few years. I had been to the basement cocktail bar - The Vanilla Rooms before but neither of us had ate at The Park House so we decided to try out their Afternoon tea as a relaxing treat during what is turning out to be a very very manic time of the year. The building is exquisite and luxurious and as soon as the large wooden doors opened and we were greeted and coats taken we knew we would be in for a treat. Our table was ready and waiting for us. With high ceilings and beautiful ornate windows looking out across winter wonderland it was like an oasis in the city being somewhere so peaceful. We had a few different drink options including various loose leaf teas and artisan coffees as well as upgrading to a bubbly afte......

Seasons Eatings
What a beautiful setting for a Christmas feast ( image ) Slowly we have found we are starting to let winter and the festive feeling into our homes and lives. I think by planning early this year I am hoping to avoid any stress that comes along with this wonderful time of the year. To me what sums up the run up to Christmas is finding a few quirky and unique stocking fillers, doing lots of crafts and baking with the little man and indulging in some yummy treats such as traditional shortbread and drinking hot chocolate or ground coffee under a cosy blanket. The lovely people at Harvey Nichols sent over a Seasons Eatings hamper and it's been the perfect introduction to the festive season as it's not to over the top but contains all the comforts of the season in a beautiful woven basket. We cannot wait to try out the Brandy butter and the Marc De Champgane Chrsitmas pudding. I love the little luxury touches and this really would make a wonderful gift and is worth ......

Miss Patisserie Launch
Cardiff never seizes to amaze me with it's talent and creativity. Perhaps not the bohemian hub like cities such as London or Bristol but slowly and surely we are getting there in our own way. So I am always pleasantly surprised and excited to attend events in and around the city, especially went its supporting local businesses such as launch of the new shop and premises of the beautifully handmade bath and beauty company Miss Patisserie . Now I had actually seen Miss Patisserie products before and never knew they were made right here in Wales! Such cute and creative products, most popular being their cupcake bath bombs made to a very high standard, so much so that they are stocked in high end retailers such as Harrods and Fenwicks, plus loads of independent stores. The evening was a chic affair with an array of tasty nibbles from sushi to real cupcakes (almost mistaken for bath bombs) and lots of champagne. It was really great to have a walk around and see how......
This is one of my favourite wedding photographers I have taken, such a beautiful couple. I remember when I saw for the first time in my life, the wedding photos of my parents. Being just a kid, I fell in love with those pictures. Even though I am a tomboy I think that somewhere in every girl is the dream, imagining yourself in that dress (or suit), walking down the isle and standing next to your soul mate. I really want to share with you my experience of shooting photos at weddings and what it means to the clients. A wedding is one of those special days that should always be remembered. The best way to get the event transformed into an everlasting memory is to capture it. Nowadays, we take photos of everything. When it comes to birthday parties or weddings, a good photographer is absolutely needed. Right now, there has to be a San Francisco Wedding Photographer that is taking pictures of a couple in a cable car. It may seem banal but in a few weeks, the wedding......

It's Ladies night
Last week I had an amazing time at the St Davids Ladies night, a night full of fashion, music, food, late night shopping and grabbing some great bargains. Since the St Davids 2 has opened in Cardiff in 2009 it's brought more than 120 new stores to the city including John Lewis, Radley, Jojo Mama Bebe, Vivienne Westwood and Mango to name a few. I am not usually a high street kind of girl but John Lewis does stock some amazing clothes for the whole family and they have some great places to eat and with the centre also housing more than 300 flats above the shops it's created a real buzz in the city centre. On arrive at St Davids on Ladies night you check in and get given an Access pass which gives you discounts at nearly all of the shops and restaurants as well as there being pamper stations, mini makeovers and manicures, free Candy floss, DJ's, entertainment and various in-store events. Mini Makeover time I went to the John Lewis Holiday Glamour beauty event whi......

Mothers day love
So this mothers day didn't exactly go to plan as all three of us where either sick or recovering from a stomach bug, but even though we didn't venture outside we did have a cosy family day. When it comes to days like this I really don't expect anything, all I want to do is spend time with the people I love, my little family. Saying that it is always great when they treat you to some sweet little things. First of all I was given a lie-in which when you become a mother is a golden money cannot buy present. On waking I was treated to a wonderful card, signed by the little man himself (with help from John of course) and some very yummy Hotel Chocolat Champagne Truffles, a copy of my favourite parenting magazine Green Parent and a lovely Body Smoothing Polish from the animal-friendly and British made Baylis and Harding. What more could a mother ask for - oh a kiss from my two boys This Rose, Ylang Ylang and Patchouli body polish smells amazing and I cannot wait to us......

That New Year feeling...
Seeing the New Year in with some champers So I really cannot believe it's 2013 - where did 2012 go...it seemed to fly by faster than usual. Perhaps because we where so busy with bringing up a toddler, work and moving home and I feel that in a way we are over what was quite a stressful time and I have a really good feeling about the New Year. The New Year is always a time of reflection and I think this is true for most people. I like to focus on the positives and improve on the negetives. This year I am not making an huge drastic resolutions but rather aspiration that I strive to achieve as I do feel there are some improvement that I could make. Here are some of my 2013 goals. 1. Aim to be more organised - it saves time and your sanity. 2. See the positive side of things because positive people attract positivity to there lives. 3. Eat wholesome, nutritious and organic food 4. To really enjoy the indulgences I allow myself. 5. To always make time for the ones you love......
