When your a child birthdays are always joyous occasions full of excitement and the same when your a parent but there is also a hint of the bittersweet. I love to support small homegrown independent business, especially those grown out of the creative surge that happens when you become a mother. I came across Carrie Anne of Mere Soeur last year and have watch her awesome business grow on Instagram and have been meaning to pick up one of the printed "Mother Daughter" tees for a while now and finally got around to doing it. She has just released a baby line of tees and new tote bags, accessories and her iconic boob mugs, she also recently put together an "Art of Motherhood" charity colouring book with all profits going to HomeStart. Moving on up - From cot to bed

It feels like I blinked and my youngest has gone from a newborn to a toddler in no time and is learning things at such a fast pace. He watches his older brother like a hawk and is so eager to get involved and keep up with him.  Every morning he climbs over me as we co-sleep most nights and the first thing he does is go to his brothers room to see if he is awake and tries to climb into his bed, which doesn't always go down well with my eldest. As soon as Baby G is up he is going a hundred miles an hour and I think things have happened quicker the second time around such as walking, using cutlery and his communication skills because he has an older sibling to look up too. This week you turned one my little man and I always find moments like this one needs to sit down and put pen to paper or keyboard to screen and make a note of whats going through my mind before I forget this feeling, the pride, how my heart bursts with love, how absolutely exhausted I feel as a year on and you have not graced us with an uninterrupted night for months.  The picture above pretty much sums you up right now, it's not the best picture but your testing your voice, your trying to communicate and laughing and shouting at various things with all that you have and it makes me smile. Street Style - My PacaPod

Last week we packed our bags for a mini adventure and one night away with both of the kids in tow and what is always important with very short breaks like this is to keep packing to a minimum and preferably having everything you need in one bag. This however is not alway easy when you need to take into consideration all the things required for a baby when travelling such as nappies, wipes, creams, spare clothes etc so having a bag built for purpose is key and this mini-trip gave me the chance to put my PacaPod Prescott satchel to the test. First of all when looking for a changing bag I wanted something that was stylish, well designed and not too mumsy and that will fit into my busy life. 11 month Breastfeeding update & Boobbix Review

So it's been a while since I have done any kind of breastfeeding update and thought I would share how things have been as at nearly 11 months we are still going strong. I feel very lucky that we have not really had any issues at all and since the beginning its been pretty amazing which was completely different to my first who was badly tongue tied. Even though physically we have had no issues it's still been hard at times especially over the past month when Baby G has been waking far more than usual and the only way to get him back to sleep is to feed which has meant that at times I have been feeding him of up to 6-8 times a night, which as you can imagine does not leave much time for sleep. Also as fantastic as Baby G is at feeding he refuses point blank to have any expressed milk which has limited my ability to be away from him for too long but now that he is also eating food and we are doing baby-led weaning it means he can go a little longer and John to......

We are actively trying to reduce our carbon foot print as well as be more eco conscious in our household in a variety of ways. Immediately one thinks of energy saving ideas such as turning off all the appliances from standby as well as making sure we recycle as much as possible and being less wasteful, all of which we do but you can also look beyond that to what one wears or purchases.  When it comes to food we try and eat as much organic or local produce as we can afford and we are aiming to do the same with the clothing we buy. Styling the Christmas table for Kids

So this year we have one more plate to add to the table as this time last year I was heavily pregnant with Baby G and now he is here and gobbling down food with much enthusiasm.
