Striped slub jersey £12.99 and Lyocell shirt dress £24.99 I love to support fashion brands with strong ethics and love buying organic, independent or fair-trade clothing but this can't be possible all the time, simply down the cost, so usually I treat myself to something lovely at birthdays/ christmas etc or when I can, otherwise I also love to thrift and up cycle clothing. The great thing is for a while HM and have been crossing that bridge by producing organic and low-impact clothing under their Conscious label and everything is so reasonably priced and you can't go wrong. Most of the range is pretty simple and perfect for casual style plus they have some great little homeware pieces as well. Conscious Collection Home and Fashion
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. Being pregnant again has brought up a lot of memories and feelings about the first time round and I have to admit before having Mr A neither of us were particularly maternal, I mean we both wanted to have children at some point but we both come from a small families of which Mr A is the first grandchild on either side and in fact before having him I (Laura) had never held a newborn before, mainly because none of my friends had children yet and a lot of my relatives, cousins etc are scattered between two countries. I honestly don't think anyone can understand what happens that moment you see your child for the first time and know without a doubt that life will never be the same and for the better. Your heart opens up in ways you never thought possible and also suddenly the world seems a far more dangerous place than before and more than ever you want to protect this......
I have been meaning to do little room tours of our home but with so much change going on at the moment none of our rooms are actually finished. Next week is all about getting our bedroom sorted with more painting, stripping, sanding, then next stop is some finishing touches in the kitchen, re-painting all the skirting boards in the lounge and hallway plus sanding and painting the doors, the bathroom still needs some work as well as the spare room which has become somewhat of a storage room. But for now I thought I would share the above photos as a sneak peak. ...

Johns new shirt and Introducing Haxby
John wearing Albam shirt, Edwin Jeans and Jack Purcell Converse So you may think John has a lot of shirts like this, in this shade, well apparently not (this is what I have been told) it's a different kind of fit with a rounder edge at the bottom and as he described it it's more of an a relaxed "artist" fit over that of a tailored shirt and it comes from one of his favourite brands - Albam. it's smart enough for work but also casual enough for a walk outside with the family and pairs up well with his Edwin Jeans and Jack Purcell Converse and Ralph striped socks. On Side Street Style we also love to showcase brands that we are currently loving and thought we would share our recent new find in menswear that is Haxby, which mainly focuses on denim but also has some interesting sunglasses, belts and shoes. Quality men’s wear is comprised of a few different characteristics. It must be durable and of high quality to meet all of the demands of the day......
