So wow what a week, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster for everyone with regards to the havoc that Covid-19 is causing. So I really wanted to do something a bit more positive and fun and also with it being Mothers Day this month I thought it was about time to run a giveaway. The wonderful people at Jana Reinhardt have sent this absolutely gorgeous sterling silver Lioness and Cub necklace, which is apart of their Out of Africa collection. It's such a lovely depiction of maternal love and this necklace is handmade in the UK by expert goldsmith Jana Reinhardt in her Sussex seaside studio. My first impression of the necklace was just how beautifully it's made, such quality workmanship and this would a perfect gift for that special person in your life. Depending on what materials are used these necklaces start at £95 and you can also have 3 characters engraved to make it even more unique. Alongside this beautiful necklace, I am also giving away a "List......

Talented Jewellery makers + giveaway
*Hersey and Son kindly provided the necklace for a giveaway. The other jewellery designers mentioned are my own recommendations The one thing about Jewellery is the longevity it can offer, it can be not only beautiful but a very sentimental gift at the same time and one that can last for years. I still have some necklaces my mother gave me when I was 12, so that's 23yrs ago and they are still going strong. I also have pieces my friends gave me from school, which are very sentimental to me considering I no longer live in South Africa. Jewellery is also very creative and with so many independent makers, local to the UK as well as small family-run businesses, I thought I would share a few that I really love at the moment. Baked by Lou Lou is a Cardiff local and the owner and creator of Baked by Lou, a really unique collection of jewellery and homewares with bold shapes and prints which are made by hand and fired in a kiln or oven. Her pieces are really fun and colourful......

Small Gifts for the Modern Millennial
Millennials, we cover a pretty wide age range, even though I have kids I still fit into the Millennial generation and while I cannot talk for everyone the way we navigate this digital world is far different to our parents era and therefore our needs are different. Many of us live life on the go, we live more for today and like to enjoy the things we can afford like brunch and coffee (as cliches as that is), as a generation many of us are also thinking more ethically, we want to support local business, be more sustainable and travel a little more. Also personally I find when it comes to gifts I want them to be meaningful or practical and here is a little gift guide for the digital millennial. 1. In a world where we are trying to cut out plastic as much as possible these two gifts are perfect for eating and drinking on the go as well as look stylish and dear I say Instagrammable. I am loving the stainless steel Black + Blum thermal food flask which keeps lunch both hot o......
So later this month I will be attending the Princes Trust Awards in Cardiff which I am really excited about because it's such a positive and fantastic charity and does so much for the youth of this country who have god ideas but need mentors to help make it happen. The awards is black tie event so certainly not your standard evening out so of course I am already planning what I should be wearing, I've been to a few of these type of things before and it's a great opportunity to dress up a little bit different to what you normally do. If you have never attended a black tie event it can be little nerve-wracking especially if you are worried about looking a little silly or out of place. If you have been invited to your first black tie event, most likely you will have already asked Google what is and is not acceptable . Many of us look forward to such occasions when we get to dress up and show off our sense of style, although, for some, there is no more daunting prosp......

Why It's Easy To Fall In Love With Jewellery
My mother has some beautiful rings, ones I know she is planning to pass down to me, I remember being mesmerised by them when I was a child and even though the worth my not be massive they hold sentimentality as well as being very well made. They will become one of those things I know I will hold onto until I want to pass them onto one of my own children because the thing with jewellery is not only an exquisite form of art that can add emotional meaning to your life. It can also be wonderful for celebrating milestone events, weddings or birthdays with birthstone jewellery . In fact, for someone who appreciates the complicated craftsmanship of making handmade jewellery, to me it's really is kind of art form of which creators spend their whole life perfecting. I also love vintage pieces and it can be a real thrill of finding unusual pieces discovered by accident in unlikely places such as charity shops or car boot sales. If you love jewellery or simply have an interest in ......

Spring Style - Dungaree dress
Dorothy Perkins dungaree dress, Zara shoes, Next tee Well Spring may be a little start stop at the moment but that doesn't mean we are not going to make the most of every single day of dry warm weather. I am trying to change things a up a little bit this season and want to strike a good balance between practical outfits that suit my busy lifestyle travelling and running after two small people while also feeling good about myself and on trend. I have been really getting into dungarees and workwear, may have something to do with my favourite Netflix series "Love", so when I saw this Dorothy Perkins dungaree dress from House of Fraser I knew it would be a winner and perfect for springtime adventures in the city and further afield. I have paired it up with my gold Zara slip on's, a white tee from Next. A few other things on my spring style wish list are a pair of Saltwater sandals and some culottes. What is on your list? ...

Mothers Day Gift Guide
A framed photograph from Wall Snaps Are you struggling to find something a little different for that very special lady in your life (your mum of course) this Mothers Day? Then have no fear here are few ideas for those who are still scrambling to find a gift that expresses how much you care. First of all I thought I would start with something that is not only visually stunning but also sentimental - then a beautifully framed photograph or canvas is a good choice and is something my mother has been asking for for year. The creative people at Wall Snaps offer some fantastic choices including some colourful and cool patterned boarders and high end printing as well as a fast turn around time. I feel when it comes to celebrations such as Mothers Day thinking a little bit out of the box and picking up something else besides chocolates and flowers (which are lovely too) always goes down well. Why not have something a fun, quirky or just a real treat such as the BuyAGift sm......

Fashion for New Years with Lyst
I know we have not even had Christmas yet but I am rather excited about New Years as last year I was heavily pregnant and struggling a bit with finding stylish and fun clothes in the 3rd trimester but that's not the case this year. We don't have anything planned as of yet but that doesn't matter, whether we just pop down to the pub at the end of our road for a drink, invite friends over or even just make a special meal and movie at home I still intend to get dressed up to celebrate the start of another year. I have been asked to put together a little fashion wishlist of my favourite Night Time and Day time looks with the help of Lyst - a really easy to use and smart shopping website that allows you to follow the brands and designers you love and add them to your lysts and creates a personal shopper experience. I instantly fell in love with baby blue Needle and Thread skirt and Stella McCarthy shoes and built the outfit around that with a fun and edgy theme ......

Street Style Sunday - Playsuit
I came across this simple but stylish playsuit by accident a few weeks ago, I don't know how I stumbled onto Romwe, an American site but either way I love it. Being a huge fan of black I thought Navy was adding a bit more colour and pairing up with my patent brogues from Clarks, a small satchel bag from New Look and Rose Quartz Crystal Necklace from the Happiness Boutique . I have found since having kids and getting little older that I look for clothes that need to be wearable for the whole day as well as practical for running around after the children or doing errands and I think this playsuit is perfect for that. I was recently sent this beautiful necklace and I have yet to take it off. I have always been interested in Crystals and their ability to help ground you, aid calm and be used for different alignments to improve your wellbeing. The Rose quart is naturally speaks to your heart Chakra and is a very loving and happy stone and can help build str......

Street Style Sunday - A Wedding Outfit
Vintage Jacket, New Look tee, Max Studio trouser, Esska Shoes, Ralph Lauren Bag, Boden Necklace So last weekend we attended a wedding, in fact Johns brothers wedding. As you can see my bump has grown somewhat and I struggled to find anything dress wise that didn't make me feel frumpy so I decide to wear what I felt comfortable in but was still fairly chic. I picked up this black Velvet jacket in a charity shop years ago and I love it and paired it up with my Max Studio black trousers and New Look maternity tee, as well as my gold Esska shoes and Ralph Lauren bag and beautiful Boden necklace. The weather was perfect, especially since Wales can be so hit and miss which meant I even had to pack my sunglasses! I went for fairly simple makeup using some new No.7 products which I cannot wait to share with you - in love with their Lip Crayon and overall had a really enjoyable day. The little man was a page boy and I cannot wait share what he wore later this week in the ......

Street Style Sunday - The Holiday Edition
Wearing Boden Tunic, Holster jelly sandals, New Look Bag and Necklace So as some of you know we recently went on an amazing holiday down to the South of France and that meant only one thing - warmer weather and getting in a little bit of summer style before the end of the year. Being 18 weeks pregnant at the time of this photo, taken in Cannes, meant that I was in a bit of an in-between phase, not quite big enough for maternity clothes but yet all my normal clothes are somewhat on the tight side of things so this Boden tunic was perfect for me, very loose but with a belt it brought it in and gave enough space for the bump and paired up with my super comfy Holster jelly sandals as well as my Bag and Necklace which are both from New Look As always I have paired up with the lovely Natalie from Style Me Sunday blog to bring you Street Style Sunday linkup which is open to any fashion related posts - mood and inspiration boards, outfits of you, your kids or partner - in ......

Swatch Watch Love
I think there must be very few people who don't know about Swatch Watches (if you don't seriously where have you been for the past 40 years?), with their creative and colourful designs and great prices they are the perfect fun accessory. Luckily there is an amazing store in Cardiff and I was kind enough to be invited to a little blogger shindig the other day to see a few of their new pieces and basically have a proper look around the store. Johns first watch was actually a swatch and I have owned a few in my lifetime as well. Two of the things I was really impressed and surprised with was the lovely jewellery they also do - the beaded bracelet and necklace really reminded me of similar pieces I used to pick up in markets in South Africa when I was younger - something to do with the bead designs I think, they also had a stunning ring. Another thing was there slightly more grown up and classical style watches most of which were unisex and oozed quality ......
So it's that time of the week again to share some fashion inspiration. Last week myself and the lovely Fritha from Tigerlilly Quinn went on a mini road trip to Blogstock - the first blogging festival. A full review of the event is to come but for now I thought I would just share what we wore. First of all whenever you go on a road trip oversized glasses is needed (even if just for fun) I decided to wear my playsuit from Glamorous and I am glad I did as the weather really is starting to turn a little colder these days and it might be the last time I get to wear it before autumn creeps in. I paired it up with my thrift denim chambray, a cute little necklace from next and some happy floral wellies I picked up at the last minute from Sainsburys as my Boden ones have decided to do a disappearance act. The festival also had The Fashion Galleries tent which showcased some lovely independent designers work as well as hosting the fashion-orientated talks over the wee......
