If you knew your future would you change it?

With so many changes (many not in a good way) happening both in the UK and around the world my mind has started to think about the future and the kind of world we are bringing our children into. A couple of years ago my father passed away, I won't go into details but it was sudden and unexpected and could of been prevented, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and every now and then my mother and I reflect on what happened in the years before and after, if we had changed anything and maybe because I am somewhat a realist I try not to dwell on the past, I do like to remember him but I don't think it's good to go over and over things you simply cannot change. After he passed many things changed in the way I feel about life and I choose to see it as the glass half full. Green Efforts At home

I am all about thrifting and up-cycling and of course finding bargains so when I can tie this in with being eco it's a win win all round so when I came across this book in my local library for 20p I had to get it. I already collect books for little Mr.A to read when he is older and I hope that he puts this one to good use All over the world, the emphasis on environmental efforts seems to be increasing, as more and more people begin to recognize the importance of living environmentally responsible lifestyles. Osborn shoes first look book

One of my first posts on this blog was about Osborn shoes . I love their individuality and quirkiness and I was so excited to see their new look book for winter/spring 2010/2011. What is also great is these shoes are hand-made in a time honoured old-world totally sweat-shop free environment and each shoe is signed by the maker as a testament to the sense of pride for the maker, as well as its wearer. The materials are also fairly traded and locally sourced, so not only are they super fashionable but also good for everyone involved.
