Fashion is all about having fun and every now and then I just love to get out our Cazals and wear them out and about - I mean if they were good enough for Run DMC in the 80's they will do me fine. It's the great thing about our culture today, we can draw from so many inspirations, especially when it comes to music. I love indie bands to acoustic to sixties, hip-hop, punk and everything in between so why no mix it up every now and then? Bloggers Bake Club

What is better than a chilled out day, sitting inside, warm and cosy with a cup of tea while it rains outside paired up with a table full of homemade baked treats and a few other bloggers? It really is a perfect combination and with the Blogger Baking Club being a family friendly event it meant the little man could come a long - and he loved it, especially all the attention he got from the ladies. The Bloggers Bake Club is going to be a month affair and is the brand child of Amy from Bonjour Cupcakes Blog and with every month there is different theme - with it being the first one of the year they theme was "lighter" baking to keep fairly in touch with everyones New Years resolutions. I opted to make a Low Fat Vegan Banana and Walnut Cake and some as healthy as they can be Vegan Chocolate Brownies. The Weekend Box Review

The little man and I love doing crafts although with the house move and everything else it can sometimes be hard to have quick easy projects at hand so when I was asked to review The Weekend Box which includes 4 toddler appropriate crafts and provides pretty much everything you need I was very excited. As soon as the box hit the floor (it's small size means it fits through the postbox) we could not wait to open it. The little man was immediately drawn to the colour characters on the box - Wooster, Hattie, Sammy and Oswald and the packaging is creative and eye-catching. Once we opened the box we went through the different crafts and materials picked which one to make first - we opted for the Bird Feeder - you can see the post I did about making our garden more bird friendly - featuring the bird feeder we made The weekend box and the bird feeder we made This was the most substantial craft and our favourite and it's great to come down to the kitchen and look out ......

Muddy Adventures

Despite all the rain we have had a few moments of not only dry but also glimpses of the sun, if one for a few minutes. We have tried to make the most of every day and have had some lovely adventures this week to the Common and Roath Park, as well playing in our garden and making plans for planting our vegetables - the time is fast approaching to get everything ready. With all the rain comes a lot of mud - and what child does not like squelching and jumping in mud! I know I love to. We have also started to see a few first signs of spring with some daffodils starting to shoot up slowly and we even came across a few daisy's yesterday. Of course winter is still prevalent and discovered some amazing Holly bushes on our walk up a local common space.
