Street Style Sunday - Birthday Giveaway

So today is my last day of being 30, for some reason personally that seems more poignant than when I actually turned 30 last year in France. It almost feels like a full cycle and looking back on all the adventures I have had in my life so far has been a wonderful thing, of course, there have been highs and lows but I have packed whole lotta fun and exploration into my life, something which I am very grateful for. Growing up in South Africa, coming over to the UK on my own, travelling, studying and even visiting one of the worlds most isolated islands by cargo ship...it's been a blast but the biggest adventure has got to be becoming a parent as it unpredictably means every day is different and you learn to love more than you thought capable. It's also made me proud of myself and my body which has brought two children into this world, 6 months on after having Baby G I am not back at my pre-pregnancy weight yet but you know what I am really happy with where I am, all the lum......

We change, we grow, couple's fashion

I love looking back at old photos and seeing how we change over time, the little man is growing so fast and as a couple we have also developed and matured. Everything in the world turns in cycles and just as toddlers go through fazes so do adults, there likes, dislikes, needs and ambitions. This can also be seen in fashion. It's really funny as a child I use to think those eighties polka dot print was hideous but this last season I have really feel in love with polka dot, something I never would of thought at the age of 8. Since meeting John, who has always care about the what he wears, his personal style has definitely been refined over the years and he has really found a style that suits him and he feels comfortable in. Myself on the other hand not so much, I just tend to wear what I feel like on that day and sometimes it's completely different from the day before, when we are together I often make more of an effort but being a busy mum you can normally find me in my je......

Street Style Sunday - Trainer trend

It's that time of the week again where I join up with the lovely Natalie at Style me Sunday for the weekly Street Style Sunday linky - remember you can link up anything fashion and style related even if it's an outfit of your partner, child or fashion inspired. This week I am really loving the trainer trend. After these lovely Nike Roshe trainers from JD Sports arrived I have not stopped wearing them, not only are the super comfy (I literally feel like I am walking on air) but I love the pop of colour and that I can dress them up or down - so I thought I would share two outfits with you this week  The first outfit I paired the Nike Roshe trainers up with a simple linen dress and orange Radley bag a little lunch date with John and the second one was paired with some shorts and a relaxed tee for a family adventure in Cardiff Bay. If your going to be running around a city all day or simply enjoying some the outdoors and fresh air  I cannot put into words how comfor......

Superga shoes for a super Dad

They say that the way to a mans heart is through there stomachs but not with John, oh no, in fact to be honest he has a much larger wardrobe than I do and more clothes to boot. After becoming a father I think everyones finances take a strain so when special days such as Fathers Day come around it's the  perfect way to treat him to something new, such as some shoes, some when the lovely people at Jacamo asked me to pick something for John that I thought he would love I knew straight away these Superga shoes would be perfect. John wears Superga Shoes, H&M shorts, Bathing Ape t-shirt, Ebbets Field Flannel cap Fathers Day is one of those special days we love to celebrate in our house. Mr A and John have such a special bond and the little man loves to make his Dad a card and bring it to him first thing in the morning and I also think it's great way to let the men in your life know how special they are as they can sometimes be overlooked. They have such fun together ......

The Conscious Collection

Me in my Conscious collection shorts last year There is nothing better than when the eco friendly ethos pairs up with style to make practical and wearable pieces, thats why I always get excited when H&H Conscious line comes out, as it always has affordable pieces. The collection uses a mix of organic cottons to recycled polyester and it's always great to see a big retailer trying to cut down there use of raw materials and their carbon footprint. Last year I picked up a lovely pair of shorts which lasted my all summer and will be coming out again this summer season. I have put together a few of my favourite picks from the line this year that are practical but also well designed. This is not a sponsored post, just love sharing great eco clothing with you all Fine-knit poncho £24.99 Organic cotton top £6.99 Shorts in silk mix £29.99 They also do some home wear pieces in organic and eco friendly materials - and I am in love with this hare pillowcase......

Spring Shades

Whenever we have a long duration of bad weather my mind starts to day dream to warmer summer days and really to be honest, as the rate the little man is growing up, spring really is just around the corner, which means it's time to shop for one of my favourite accessories - sunglasses. My festival essential, as well as late night hide the sleepless eyes accessory - glasses are not only useful but can add instant style to any outfit. Enjoying the sun last year Having grown up in a hot country (South Africa) where I spent many a weekend on surfing, hiking outdoors or enjoying a relaxing swim by the pool, deep down I am still that chilled out surfer girl who loves to wear sunglasses - to me there is a real sense of comfort when you find a great pair that suits your personality and style. With John having to wear prescription eyeglasses it's something we both look up when the new trends for the year start to filter through and winter/spring is the perfect time to buy g......
