Me rocking my Firmoo shades Over the past two days both Mr A and I have been hit by a horrible little cold, which we have been attacking with healthy food, early nights and lemon tea but with a Street Food Festival happening in Cardiff we just couldn't resist. So after a hot shower and finding the mental strength we ventured outside, which I think did us all a little bit of good, especially since the sun was shinning down, something that has seemed a bit of rare sight of late. It also gave me a chance to try out stylish tortoise shell shades that the lovely people at Firmoo kindly sent me. They have to be one of the best quality glasses I have which I was a bit of surprise considering the reasonable price, they don't feel flimsy at all and I can see these lasting a very longtime and I can't wait to be wearing them on our upcoming trip to the South of France. So back to the Street Food fest - there were a bunch of stalls both on The High Street and Womanby street ......

London Life - A short break in the city
We have been in London for the past few days, staying in Covent Garden in a rented apartment - you always feel alive in this city and despite what some people think it's a great place for kids, as well a adults of course. We have been indulging in bistros, cafes, craft beers and raw food. On Monday we woke up to a sunny day - so rocked the shades, loving London The Wild Food Cafe in Neal's Yard is lovely - such good food John enjoying some Bethnal Pale Ale at Honest Burger ...

Spring Shades
Whenever we have a long duration of bad weather my mind starts to day dream to warmer summer days and really to be honest, as the rate the little man is growing up, spring really is just around the corner, which means it's time to shop for one of my favourite accessories - sunglasses. My festival essential, as well as late night hide the sleepless eyes accessory - glasses are not only useful but can add instant style to any outfit. Shades for all seasons
I think being from South Africa I naturally fast forward myself through the cold times and think towards summer and the beach, warm sun and styling some new shades. But saying that I use sunglasses as much in winter, with the harsh winter road glare and on the occasionally sunny day - sunglasses I have to say for both of us is one of our favourite accessory, not only does that right pair of shades accentuate your facial features but can also hide a multitude of sins - in our case, it's with our son has been up during the night and we've had about 2hours sleep.
