It's been a while since I did a summer style inspired post and even though I am still trying to minimalise my life I'm also in need of a few key pieces moving forward into summer that is fun, versatile and perfect for festivals, travel and exploring. I think with age I have become more experimental with clothing and as they say, fashion should be fun! I don't want to look back at photos and think all I wore was monochrome (as much as I like monochrome). Here are a few inspirational pieces I am loving at the moment and there is something for everyone's budget. First up has got to be a pair of summer short dungarees by Lucy and Yak , I already own a longer pair which is great for colder months but now moving into summer I am loving these. They are practical yet fun and on trend and perfect for a spot of camping. They are also a Living Wage employer and have excellent fair pay and low waste credentials. An easy way to keep cool and stay cool this summer i......

T-shirt Style Trends to Follow in 2018
As we move out of January and head towards February I can almost start to feel a slight air of excitement as spring and then summer is on its way. I am very much a summer girl, when we can let go of all the layers and embrace t-shirts and shirts as they are meant to be worn instead hidden under winter jackets. Already we are starting to see a few trends filter through as stores are slowly gearing up to changing their winter stock to summer styles. I thought I would share a few trends I predict are going to be very popular this year. Let’s read on further, in order to learn more about new designs. Ethical Tees Isn't great supporting a label that gives a little back whether it be through a fair-trade initiative or supports a certain charity there are loads around at the moment. I am a big fan of People Tree , a sustainable clothing company that believes in cutting the middle man out and supporting directly the people who manufacture their clothing by nurturing them and inv......

Mothers Day gifts that give back
As you may already know I am trying to massively minimalism my life and belongings and what I bring into the home, so when I do purchase something I try to find products that give a little bit back to this beautiful worlds of ours. Giving presents can be so incredibly satisfying and at times far more so than receiving so I thought I would share a few ethically inspired gifts that would make great presents for that all important mother figure in your life this Mothers Day. I thought first I would start off with one my favourite Interior Stores - The White Company and their White Heart Foundation collection. This foundation and collection is committed to helping vulnerable women and children build a brighter future but donating 10% of sales to three fantastic charities - Prince's Trust, Refuge and Place2Be. Out of the collection I love this Shopper Tote bag above which is currently on sale at £11.20 as well as this beautiful Porto Stoneware Heart Plate below - both wo......

Feel Good Fashion
When it comes to fashion I am passionate about buying Fair-trade where possible and what is even better is when I know some of the money is going to a good cause which is a win win all round. So I am really excited about these fair-trade fun and colourful designed t-shirts by the renowned photographer Rankin for the TK Maxx Red Nose day collaboration. I think that it's really important to educate our children about where clothes come from and how they are made as with most things its something we often take for granted. My son loves learning about the world and finding different countries on his globe and he gets especially excited when things have come from Africa as that's where I was born. These t-shirts are wholly made in Africa with the cotton sourced from certified co-operatives in Uganda and at least £3 of the sale of these t-shirts go to Comic Relief. It's such a small and easy way to give a little back and love this Bulldog print. ......

My Minimalist Challenge
As all the New Year resolutions have rolled out, everyone is juicing their food and trying to live clean I decided this year instead of any resolutions I was going to give myself a challenge for the whole year because it's simply the type of challenge that cannot be done overnight and will take time. When it's come to living I have always swayed towards a more sustainable and ethical choices although these can be hard when we live in an age of instant gratification and disposable goods. The thing is I have always preferred to spend my hard earned money on experiences rather than stuff but when you go from living as one person to two then three then four things quickly change and suddenly you find yourself surrounding by so much stuff that at times you actually feel like your drowning in a plastic sea of toys, useless baby items and beauty products that are never going to get rid of those dark sleep deprived circles. Of course in life we need to replace thing......

Gratitude and reflections
With such an action packed September following into October I thought I would share a few highlights from the past month and simple family moments, looking back through photos is something I always enjoy doing and I so grateful for all these happy memories. We had a double birthday celebration with my eldest turing 6 and myself turing one year older as well. We enjoyed walks in the forest, picking apples from an orchard, enjoying dusk in Bute park and enjoying a week away at Bluestone in West Wales. Although it's not been all daisies and roses with both boys coming down with a horrible cold virus and then my youngest being hit but another illness following on from that, I think it's something to be expected at this time of the year when the seasons change. 1. The boys enjoying a walk at dusk on a beautiful Autumn evening in Bute Park 2. Reflecting on our short stay at Godolphin Arms in Cornwall, I wrote about it Here 3. Looking for dragons on a scultpture trail in the f......

Blazers and Bank Holiday style
What a wonderful end to a bank holiday, after a bit of a rainy start it was nice to finish with a blast of sunshine and some time spent in Cardiff at the Street Food Circus and then a walk through the park. You can really sense that change in season with the days slowly getting cooler and more jackets are making there way out from the back of my wardrobe. I also treated myself to this cute organic Cactus printed tee from one of my favourite ethical brands People Tree and managed to get this for a real steal in their sale and adds that little bit of colour to what would be a straight monochrome outfit. So this weekends street style outfit is Karen Millen trousers, People Tree t-shirt, Wallis blazer, Doc Marten shoes and an Anchor and Crew necklace. I have to say secretly I am quite looking forward to Autumn, don't get me wrong I absolutely love summer as it's my favourite season of all but there is something so lovely and cosy about Autumn, as well as wa......

Little snapshots
Every few months or so I like to have a little look back at my favourite memories I have shared across my IG feed - a place I use to capture those little happy moments in our life and has become very much a visual diary of sorts. The past few days we have all been under the weather - my eldest seems to be pretty much back to full steam but myself and Baby G are still in the throws of a bad cold, so all these colourful snaps are reminding us of the recent god weather and adventures we have had of late while we snuggle on the couch on this rainy day. 1. We recently made these cute crayon hearts and I have been giving this Beauty Boost Skin restore cream from Green People a go as the lack of sleep with Baby G has been taking it's toll 2. I join in with the #EthicalFashionCollective and share a snap of my new organic People Tree dress 3. Oh babies are so cute when they are sleeping, just wish this little one would sleep at night 4. My eldest and I had a little date day in C......
