* I was kindly sent a pair of Regatta Ladies Edgepoint boots - this is an unpaid review and 100% my own words & thoughts Autumn is truly upon us and it's a great time to get outdoors, enjoy nature and walks before the colder winter weather sets in. Saying that it's really important to start wearing warmer clothing such as hats, scarfs and protecting yourself from adverse weather, especially wet weather, which is why I am very excited about my new Regatta waterproof and breathable boots , plus they are super light so you can bet I'm going to get a lot of use out of them this season. I've been meaning to take the boys up The Blorenge in the Brecon Beacons for a while as we are slowly ticking off trig points in the area and we had done a few other summits so this was next on the list and it's a great walk for younger kids and dogs (although please be a responsible dog owner), it's always a great place to test out my new boots. 7 Essentials for hiking in Autumn
* This post contains affiliate links As we slowly wave goodbye to summer and say hello to Autumn and the colder months ahead, getting outdoors is just as important for our overall wellbeing. So I thought I would share the essentials I pack on any autumn hike 1. Extra Layers As the weather is very changeable this time of the year, while it may feel mild at the start of your hike, if your heading higher up to a summit, it will without a doubt be......

Outdoor Apparel Guide for Women
This post contains affiliate links We all know that spending time outdoors is good for both our physical and mental wellbeing and the UK has amazing hikes and walks perfect for all levels as well as a variety of outdoor pursuits. Having the right clothing to do the job is important not only for practicality but to help keep you comfortable and safe. Finding the right gear and apparel can be a challenge and you're going to find a lot of brands make heavy assumptions about who is buying their products and why. The important thing is to do as much research as possible and don't be pressed to go for the most expensive option, while quality is really important you can often pick up excellent outdoor clothing one sale or at discount as a variety of outdoor shops or opt for second hand from places like ebay. I believe that getting outdoors is accessible for all and you shouldn't be put off through lack of budget and often we can make do with what we already have, so I thou......

Vera shoes LookBook
So the nice peeps over at Vera shoes kindly asked me to shoot some images of their new hiking boot range for winter and John and I jumped at the chance, I mean who wouldn't want to wander around the woods in really cool shoes. The founder Neil Morris, a welshman and former owner of Droogi, a store that was for a while Johns 2nd home, being one of the only shops in Cardiff which stocked Vintage Levi's, 6876 label, Duffer Of St George, Edwin Jeans and Red Wings to name a few. Vera shoes are made in Spain and are individual, original and high quality and they also do womens shoes. They had a really amazing range of Espadrilles for summer and now have these super slick hiking boots for winter. Here are some of my favourite picks from the shoot. ...
