Ethical Summer Style Inspiration
It's been a while since I did a summer style inspired post and even though I am still trying to minimalise my life I'm also in need of a few key pieces moving forward into summer that is fun, versatile and perfect for festivals, travel and exploring. I think with age I have become more experimental with clothing and as they say, fashion should be fun! I don't want to look back at photos and think all I wore was monochrome (as much as I like monochrome). Here are a few inspirational pieces I am loving at the moment and there is something for everyone's budget. First up has got to be a pair of summer short dungarees by Lucy and Yak , I already own a longer pair which is great for colder months but now moving into summer I am loving these. They are practical yet fun and on trend and perfect for a spot of camping. They are also a Living Wage employer and have excellent fair pay and low waste credentials. An easy way to keep cool and stay cool this summer i......
Having been a teenager in the nineties means that of course its one of my fondest decades and holds some of my favorite memories growing up, the longest summers, friendships and discovering fashion and experimenting with style. We all know that trends come around again at some point so it's been exciting seeing some of my favorites from the nineties come back into style (although bum bags and scrunchies we could still do without). Here are 5 trends I am happy about making a comeback Dungarees and Overalls This one I am really happy about, while dungarees technically never really went out of style they have certainly seen a rise in popularity of late especially after a whole bunch of celebs have been spotted in them. Long or short, skinny or wide leg they are all on trend this summer, which is good news as they are not only stylish but comfy and practical too. Denim Jacket Double denim is definitely a thing as more and more people are pairing up the 90'......

Retro inspired trends for 2017
As we move forward into the New Year for many that means changes, motivation, goals and possibly a new you? Its also a time we start to spring clean, get rid of the old and bring in the new, we look forward to the new trends and the long-lasting ones too and one of those trends that is staying around is embracing all that is retro with a modern twist. Simple stylish Scandi-inspired interiors mixed with a touch of mad men and minimalism and this is also reflected in the clothes we are wearing with more and more people upcycling and recapturing that sense of the 90's but today. I thought I would put together a fun little post of all that is retro but still on trend for 2017 including interiors and clothing. Firstly I know I am planning to update our dinning room tables and my love for Eames has never faded and year on year their simple and retro design have become both iconic and timeless. Another big trend in the coming year is focusing on lighting. Creating rooms that ......

Spring Style - Dungaree dress
Dorothy Perkins dungaree dress, Zara shoes, Next tee Well Spring may be a little start stop at the moment but that doesn't mean we are not going to make the most of every single day of dry warm weather. I am trying to change things a up a little bit this season and want to strike a good balance between practical outfits that suit my busy lifestyle travelling and running after two small people while also feeling good about myself and on trend. I have been really getting into dungarees and workwear, may have something to do with my favourite Netflix series "Love", so when I saw this Dorothy Perkins dungaree dress from House of Fraser I knew it would be a winner and perfect for springtime adventures in the city and further afield. I have paired it up with my gold Zara slip on's, a white tee from Next. A few other things on my spring style wish list are a pair of Saltwater sandals and some culottes. What is on your list? ...

Style Me Sunday - Babysitters club
So this week has seen more changes for our little family, especially my eldest as we welcomed a brand new cousin/nephew into the world, making me an Aunt for the first time as well as Mr A a potential babysitter in years to come. Mr A has also been heavily into "workmen" style play this week, helping out at my mothers house hammering nails and filling up gaps in floorboards and he favourite item of clothing is week has got to be his Dungarees which were actually handed down from a friend who picked them up from Next, we have paired them up with this new Clarks boots and T-shirt from Esprit. The nice people over at Promofix Gifts sent us some very cute badges and mugs which would make a perfect gift for anyone who is currently expecting either their own child or in our case a little nephew or cousin and Mr A was very proud to wear his Babysitter to Bee pin badge. Their Mummy to bee mugs are super cute and if your looking for something heart warming and uniq......

Street Style Sunday - Festival Essentials
Hope everyone has been having a wonderful weekend, it's been a busy one for us, with two trips to London this week and another one next week it's been all go recently and this warmer weather has been blissful and I hope it sticks around for a while. With all our recent travels and more to come this summer I am looking for some chill out time at some festivals this year, as you may already know we love a good festival and have taken Mr A to them since he was 18 months old and this year we will also have Baby G in tow. Round sunglasses, Denim Dungarees, Love life tee, black espadrilles - all F&F As with everything the more you do the better you get so after a few good years we have the camping and festival thing down and have worked out what is worth packing and what simply is not. When Tesco asked me to put together a list of camping essentials from their Summer Boost collection I couldn't wait and for those who don't know what Summer boost is......

Street Style Sunday - Festival Fashion
So as some of you may already know we have been at our first festival of the season this weekend (review to come soon) and in preparation I was asked by New Look to put together a little festival outfit that I would actually wear (and have now worn) to a festival. I am a real fan of the dungarees this season as they are stylish and practical as well as the tasselled knitted vests, plus festivals and summer is all about accessories from necklaces to flower headbands and bracelets. The great thing is I managed to get this whole outfit from top to toe (excluding the sandals) for under £60, which is perfect when I am sure most of it will be muddy by the end of the weekend and I am really impressed with the quality and comfort of the denim as well as the beautiful necklace. I am joining up with the lovely Natalie over at Style Me Sunday for the weekly Street Style Sunday linky so why not join in, you can link up with any style or fashion related post or outfit of you, you......

What Mr A Wore - Grubbies Review
I don't think there is anything better than a boy (or girl) in dungarees, they are a classic that encompasses practicality, durability and style all on one, it just seems right and is perfect for active children. We were lucky enough for Grubbies to send us a pair to review and the little man loves them, he feels like a real workman in these and had a lot of fun on his mini excavator as well as pretending to be a mechanic fixing it. We have had a few pairs of dungarees in the past but I have to say we are really impressed with the quality of these Grubbies ones that are produced in the UK - we love to support local so this is an added bonus. The denim is very soft and not too heave and I love the two tone effect on the pockets as well as the cool retro detailing and colourful pipping which has a hint go nostalgia to it. The shoulder straps are adjustable and this pair should last him for a longtime which is something we look for in children's clothing. ......
