Street Style Sunday - Rainy Bay baby

One of the many pleasures of having a baby is the fact that you can out cute clothes on them without any problems because as soon as they can make up their own mind that is it, like Mr A who has two favourite t-shirts and would live in them if he could. There is also an amazing array of independent makers and talented designers out there and we love to support homegrown talent when we can. So today's Street Style Sunday is all about these beautiful alphabet t-shirt hand finished by Rainy Bay and sold on Not On the Hight Street - they are so cute and well made i'm thinking of getting one for Mr A as well as they go from 6months to 6 years. I have paired up the tee with a cute pair of starry unisex leggings from Next as we are all about patterns, whites and pops of colour at the moment and of course making sure that Baby G is comfortable. I just wished they made such cute clothes in adult sizes! Someone is a happy monkey in his Rainy Bay tee I hope......

Street Style Sunday - Kids Edition

Some of the little mans best looks from the past few months One of the best things about having kids it being able to see this discover their own style as well as having fun dressing them up. We love pops of colour and I am always trying to incorporate it into Mr A's wardrobe although he is pretty fussy when it comes to what he "wants" to wear - in otherworld he has the final say as he won't put anything on he doesn't want to which sometimes means we end up with some strange outfit choices. At the moment though he loves anything to do with the outdoors, Bear Grylls, camo and his new yellow mac. He is not always the easiest to photograph but wanted me to take a picture of him and his barn the other day (ignore the ugly wall in the background) and is wearing a cute little Bulldog jumper we picked up from The Little White Company before Christmas. Mr A wearing a Little White Company jumper, M&S trousers and Clarks Wellies I am always on the look......

Sticker Club Love

I think it's pretty safe to say that all young kids and toddlers love stickers so it's no wonder The Sticker Club weekly sticker pack, that pops through the letter box in a nifty square envelope has been going down a storm in our house and seriously what a great little idea. I personally love the cute and creative illustrations, they are super cute and different to what you would find normally in a store and I like that they are not TV Characters but instead lovely wildlife, animal, colourful, bunny people style graphics.  The other day we had to pop into London for an event and as we don't have a tablet or anything like that and with it being a two hour train trip to the Capital it always means I have to have a few tricks up my sleeve to keep Mr A entertained and the pack is super portable and he had a lot of fun sticking his rockets, stars and other bits and bobs into his journal and it mean 45 minutes of blissful creative time, making up worlds and sto......

Street Sunday Style: The Kids Edition

The very stylish Victoria from The Owl and Accordion   Hi, Vicky here! Laura’s off on a little break, so I’m helping to fill in while she’s away – today I’m bringing a good dose of colour and pattern to Side Street Style with my usual Sunday Style post, and this week it’s all about the kids. Autumn is pretty much here already; although the weather is still good in our part of the country (no winter coats coming out of the cupboard just yet!), the leaves are starting to turn and there’s a definite chill in the air in the morning. A new season is a great excuse to grab a few new pieces for the kiddos, and there are some great things about at the moment; I’ve been loving the Donna Wilson for John Lewis range (there were some great sewing accessories and tote bags for adults, but that’s another post!), and Tootsa MacGinty have produced some amazing tops and jumpers which are all completely gender free and happily unisex as usual. We’re all about relaxed, colourful and quirky......

Heritage Style with Barbour

I thought I would get one more spring outfit in before the sun really does start to shine. I love British heritage styles and old prints and patterns and to be honest if you stick with classics they never go out of style. I recently picked up this BDG jacket from Urban Outfitters and I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it as it's actually quite thin so I can still wear it in the warmer months but keeps out the wind and being oversized I can layer underneath in the colder months and it goes perfectly with my Barbour Heritage Bird Print shirt. Laura wears - BDG Jacket, Barbour Shirt, Topshop jeans and HM Boots I am in love with the print's vintage feel and it's countryside inspiration and I've not seen anything like this for a while, it feels really unique and captures Barbour's stylish, practical and high quality ethos, something which has stayed with them for the past 120 years. I can see myself wearing this a lot in the future. ......
