Most individuals think energy comes from food, sleep, and motivation. These things are crucial, but your environment affects your everyday routine. Clutter, noise, strong lighting, and uncomfortable furniture might distract you. Manage your routine, sleep, and stay awake in tranquillity. Space Sets Tone Entering places can change your energy without you realising it. A bright, organised area may help you start. Crammed or noisy spaces can make the same task harder. Your body and mind get regular cues from your surroundings. That doesn’t imply every home or office has to be perfect. Clutter is everywhere in most homes, from plates to clothes to papers to bags. The goal isn't perfection. Create enough order to keep the mind from being drawn in multiple directions. Just one clear space can help. A neat desk, bed, or area can help start the day. An easier-to-enter area reduces the energy required to overcome resistance. Light Alters Rhythm Light greatly impacts dayfeel. Morning natura......

Moving on up - From cot to bed
It feels like I blinked and my youngest has gone from a newborn to a toddler in no time and is learning things at such a fast pace. He watches his older brother like a hawk and is so eager to get involved and keep up with him. Every morning he climbs over me as we co-sleep most nights and the first thing he does is go to his brothers room to see if he is awake and tries to climb into his bed, which doesn't always go down well with my eldest. As soon as Baby G is up he is going a hundred miles an hour and I think things have happened quicker the second time around such as walking, using cutlery and his communication skills because he has an older sibling to look up too. Even though like I said we co-sleep nearly every night and my youngest is yet to actually spend any time over night in his own bedroom we feel thats it's not going to be that much longer that he will be ready to go from the travel cot that is right next to our bed to his own toddler bed so w......

Finding the perfect fit
The struggle for finding the perfect pair of jeans is real and something I have always encountered as being just under 5ft has meant standard jeans are always too long making it no easy task to find a pair that just fit's without having to alter them in some way. After asking my readers if they have ever faced a denim dilemma it was very clear that most women in some way also struggle to find the perfect fit, many with similar problems to mine in terms of length as the standard size is really not one size fit's all and is equally a problem for not only petite women but also taller ones. Some of the other common issue which were apparent is having a different size around the thighs and waist leaving gaps and ill fitted sections or skinny jeans becoming baggy in certain areas or simply not knowing how to pick the right style for the look you are trying to achieve or for your body shape. Marks and Spencer 's got in touch to see if I could find the perfect pair for......

Safe and stylish travel with Cybex
We love to travel and are actually enjoying a little road trip this week down to Sussex and knowing that the boys are safe in the car is extremely important to us. Mr A has recently outgrow his car seat and finding one for his age that would grow with him was little bit more tricky than we thought so when Cybex got in touch to ask if we would like to review the Cybex Pallas M we couldn't wait. The Cybex Pallas M is perfect for those moving up in size as it is a 2 in 1 seat that can see your child from 3yrs old all the way to 11years old. It also has some really impressive design features that make it stand out from the rest of the carseats on the market such as a one-hand adjustable impact shield which also reduces the risk of neck injuries without confining the child and a 3-position reclining headrest which also prevents the child's head from falling forward while asleep. From a parents point of view what I really love about this carseat is how ......

Homely Halloween fun
Mr A loves to dress up and I love bringing nature into the home so Halloween is a pretty fun time of the year for us. We don't really over indulge with the sugary side of things although we do have a few treats but tend to do more crafts, make pumpkin pie and carve pumpkins. We have been spending quite a bit of time roaming community gardens and farms looking at the pumpkins grow this year which has been a lot of fun. This year we actually spent Halloween night in Amsterdam so the night before we left on our dutch city-break we went over to my mothers for a special "Halloween" were basically we put on a little treasure hunt for Mr A which ended in a few new metal cars as well as playing bob the apples. It also gave Mr A a chance to dress up and for all us to get into the spirit of things. My mother made some very yummy Portuguese inspired plum custard tarts as well as a divine pea and potato curry with a big helping of green salad. The lovel......

It's the little things in life...
Having short hair was way more niggle free than my longer style - tempted to go back to the pixie style There's a fine art to looking like you're in control and sometimes it is the most insignificant things that can really start to bug you, especially if you're a busy mum. When you've managed to leave the house, avoiding any full length mirrors on the way, there's the usual dash to the bus stop. However, it's generally around this time that those little things start to wield their power. How exactly do you get onto a bus in a dignified manner when it pulls up with half a mile's gap between it and the curb? At this point, the exact moment when you are least able to do anything about it you'll realise that the those brand new trainer socks have decided to wriggle down under your ankles so they're now competing with your toes for space. Ah, life's little niggles! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, apparently... We all ha......

Sweet Dreams - Bed perfection
I think this is a good quote to live by ( image ) It's surprising how many of us sleep on uncomfortable, old and basically unsuitable beds, especially when you think how many hours we spend on this one piece of furniture. Surely it should be one of the most important purchases we make, yet we often overlook, even John and I can put our hands up and say that we have gone for way to long without replacing our bed and it's now being put to the top of the list of must have things for the house, especially since sleep and the quality of your sleep is so important to your physical and mental wellbeing. \ How beautiful and cosy does this bed look? ( image ) Personally I find lack of sleep really does affect my mood and makes me less attentive and when you have a toddler running around if your not on your game it can be easy to feel overwhelmed or get a little short with them, which is not fair on them. Also you are more likely to eat more when you are tired whic......

Comfortable and Stylish...Gabor
When you become a parent it can be like the holy grain to find shoes that are truly comfortable, hard wearing and up for the challenge that daily life brings and throw in style on top of that is even harder. I do believe less is more in terms of daily shoes and that buying quality over quantity is the key, although sometimes this is not always possible. Personally I have a very good pair of boots for winter, sandals for summer and a few heels for the odd evening out. I have recently worn my little penny loafers to the bone so they will need replacing, they were great because they could be dressed up or down, wether I was playing with the little man in the garden or pairing them with some skinny jeans or vintage dress it had many uses which is another quality I look for in shoes. Gabor do a great range of high quality stylish but very comfortable shoes for women and have been a long standing british company who pride themselves on the quality of their footwear. Here are my favourite ......
