Outdoor Apparel Guide for Women

This post contains affiliate links We all know that spending time outdoors is good for both our physical and mental wellbeing and the UK has amazing hikes and walks perfect for all levels as well as a variety of outdoor pursuits. Having the right clothing to do the job is important not only for practicality but to help keep you comfortable and safe. Finding the right gear and apparel can be a challenge and you're going to find a lot of brands make heavy assumptions about who is buying their products and why. The important thing is to do as much research as possible and don't be pressed to go for the most expensive option, while quality is really important you can often pick up excellent outdoor clothing one sale or at discount as a variety of outdoor shops or opt for second hand from places like ebay. I believe that getting outdoors is accessible for all and you shouldn't be put off through lack of budget and often we can make do with what we already have, so I thou......

Street Style - My Kanken

Since my youngest has started running around like really keeping me on my toes I have dropped the changing backs and wanted to opt for something more practical but also very stylish to carry our day to day essentials. Of course, the first thing that came to mind was a Kanken by the Swedish outdoor brand Fjall Raven, a backpack that was designed in 1978 and has continued its popularity through it's simple and modern design. Wearing Kanken backpack, Toyshop chambray, Jojo Mama Bebe dress Sometimes when I do go out I opt for a smarter bag but these are perfect for when your busy and on the go, plus the choice of colour waves is amazing. I decided to opt for this fun blue one which adds a pop of colour to any casual outfit. Today I paired it up with a Chambray from Toyshop and a dress from Jojo Mama Bebe and necklace from Anchor and Crew. As daily backpacks go these are these are slightly more pricey than normal high street brands (but far more durable) retailing at a......

Boys Club - Fjallraven Jacket

John has been eyeing up a jacket to carry him through from winter to spring since before Christmas although decided to wait and see if any popped up in the sales, luckily one of his favourites did - this Fjallraven Greenland jacket from OiPolloi . For those who don't know who Fjallraven are they are an stylish but durable outdoor Swedish brand, you have probably see their famous Kanken bags which have been incredibly popular for both men and women. They make their clothes to last and going by how long I've had my Kanken this is certainly the case. John has paired up his new jacket with a Ebbets Field flannels hat, Folk shirt, Edwin jeans, Converse and Chups socks. The great thing about a simple, waterproof jacket like this is you can layer a lot underneath making it perfect for the transitional time between winter and spring and hopefully it will come on use during some of our adventures we have planned for this year. ...

Me rocking my Kanken bag It seems like just yesterday when backpacks were considered tragically uncool for anyone too old to be part of the grade school crowd. You and Me

On the weekend we visited the grandparents and Johns old stomping ground. The sun was out and since Mr A was at the park it gave us half an hour to have a walk around the town and enjoy each others company - it's strange walking around the place I was pregnant and our old house we welcomed Mr A too when he was a newborn. I know it's always brings back a lot of nostalgia for John especially since he grew up in this town. For me it was a part of the patchwork that makes up my life but I am happy we have moved on, closer to the city. John weras - Levi's Jumper, Gap Shirt, Edwin Jeans and Superga shoes It was lovely having the sun on our faces and actually being able to use sunglasses for the purpose they are made. It also gave John a chance to finally wear his new Superga shoes he picked up for a bargain at TKMaxx in Bath last month. I am very much into denim this winter/spring - there is something very comforting and about it and practical of course. I am so hap......

Summer casual

As the days are slowly starting to get shorter and I can feel the change in the air, I am trying to squeeze every moment of sunshine out of this summer, so as long as it's warm enough I am in shorts. When we go on family walks like we did this day, I like to keep it casual. I have paired up a wide neck top from White Stuff with Ralph Lauren supply and denim shorts and my vans, plus my super handy Kanken for carrying all our things we need for a good adventure. John and I also share glasses so technically I am wearing his H&M conscious collection shades. Laura wears - White Stuff shirt, Ralph Lauren shorts, Van shoes, Asos belt, Guess watch H&M conscious collection glasses, Kanken bag This week both John and Mr A have been showing off there style on instagram and Mr A already has a  cute little strut down. John wearing Ralph Lauren shirt, Edwin jeans, YMC loafers, Albam tote Mr A rocking his stuff I have joined in with Funday Monday linky...
