I don't know about you but I am really looking forward to the summer holidays and making is as action packed as possible and making the most of every single day. After what has felt like a really long winter and spring it's so nice to feel the sunshine and get outdoors for hours on end and it's als the perfect time to encourage kids to get active and into sport. Having done a lot of sport growing up it's something that I am pretty passionate about and want to get my eldest enthusiastic about too so when Mumsnet and the Muller Anniversary Games go in touch to see if my family and I would be interested in coming along for an action-packed day of world-class athletics. They recently had a launch event at Park Primary in Stratford for an extra special sports class for some of the pupils with two leading British stars the 100m British champion Reece Prescod and para-Olympic gold winner in long jump Stef Reid. For those who don't know the Muller Anniversary Gam......

Homeware by Boden
How cute is this mug set for £15.40 So I was browsing Boden the other day, picking up a few bits and bobs for the boys as we are big fans of their kids (and women) clothes and every Christmas or Birthday we usually order one or two things, in this case a jumper and trousers but as I was having a little look I noticed they are delving into Homewares...cue little dance in the kitchen as just like their clothes the homewares are equally cute and colourful and I am delight to see they are developing this line. With classic London prints, block colours, bold fonts and quirky prints I am sure this small but well curated collection is going to to be a huge hit....P.S I need those Christmas baubles. 1. Striped knit blanket £69.30 2. Christmas pudding candle £17.50 3. Commuter cub £10.50 4. Slogan baubles £17.50 I would be seriously happy to find any of these delights under the tree this Christmas, best of all everything is 25% off at the moment and I cannot wait to see what t......

Catapult clothing giveaway
Mr A rocking an Epic Catapult tee We love nothing more than supporting and featuring small independent British clothing on the blog so when the lovely people at Catapult clothing got in touch we couldn't wait to hear what it was all about, especially since there seems to be a lack of decent boys clothing that encourages adventure and fun. The company was only started last year, by two London mums who have 6 boys between them and together they have rolled out 5 limited edition t-shirts with more designs and hoodies in the pipeline. The t-shirts are bright, fun and simple in design and range from 5-12yrs old - perfect for the outdoor loving boy and best of all is I am going to be giving away a t-shirt of their choice to one lucky reader - it's super simple to enter a Rafflecopter giveaway ...
How beautiful is this English Oak refectory table! For those of you who read the blog regularly will know I love things made out of natural materials wood and not much comes more exquisitely and beautiful made than that of Titchmarsh & Goodwin handmade and bespoke pieces which are firmly in my wishlist of things to own in our new house one day. It's always wonderful to see such amazing things come out of the UK and for traditional skills to be celebrated. I love the story behind this iconic British furniture maker which has been going since the 18th century and is family run. All the pieces are handmade from scratch at their workshops in Suffolk from sustainable wood sourced in UK forests. It's so refreshing to see unique large scale pieces being made with so much love and attention to detail. I love this contemporary Walnut Sofa I think why I am so visual drawn to their products is the clever design and mixing modern and traditional styles together to......

Heritage Style with Barbour
I thought I would get one more spring outfit in before the sun really does start to shine. I love British heritage styles and old prints and patterns and to be honest if you stick with classics they never go out of style. I recently picked up this BDG jacket from Urban Outfitters and I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it as it's actually quite thin so I can still wear it in the warmer months but keeps out the wind and being oversized I can layer underneath in the colder months and it goes perfectly with my Barbour Heritage Bird Print shirt. Laura wears - BDG Jacket, Barbour Shirt, Topshop jeans and HM Boots I am in love with the print's vintage feel and it's countryside inspiration and I've not seen anything like this for a while, it feels really unique and captures Barbour's stylish, practical and high quality ethos, something which has stayed with them for the past 120 years. I can see myself wearing this a lot in the future. ......

Wimbledon - A Summer Institution
Strawberries and cream, a perfect dish for Wimbledon ( image ) Ever since I can remember my mother, who was a Welsh expat living in South Africa at the time would by the "special Wimbledon newspaper" with the double page pullout that we would fill in every day to see who had made it through the next round. Even though Wimbledon is very much a British tradition, in South Africa it was very much apart of our lives to from a young age. Both my brother and I had tennis lessons when we were children, in fact my brother did quite well at club level and with the constant sun in South Africa you can imagine it's a very popular and accessible sport and both of us loved it and still have a game every now and than. Wimbledon to us was two weeks spent as a family, excited about the matches and keeping fingers crossed for the odd South African player to make it past the first two rounds at the tournament and even today I still get that same sense of excitement and antic......

Simple Style with Joules
Joules is one of those great British family brands that creates lovely pieces for any season. I love their approach to simple style as well as their use of pretty floral prints. They have a great understanding of combining practicality and style together to make useable but chic clothing that is perfect for a picnic to a date night, walks along to beach or the school run, so when they asked me to review of piece of clothing from their summer collection I couldn't wait. I went with this simple denim tunic that is so comfortable and relaxed but tailored at the waist to give you some shape and I am really impressed with the tunics from Joules I can see myself wearing this at some festivals this year and it's very well made and I am sure it was last for many years to come. I have paired it up with my red cheeky shoes to give a pop of colour and my Radley bag and east silver cuff bracelet for a chic daily look. Wearing a Joules denim dress, Cheeky Shoes, Radly Bag, Cry......
