Now your Two

When your a child birthdays are always joyous occasions full of excitement and the same when your a parent but there is also a hint of the bittersweet. As a mother of course I want my boys to grow up to be strong confident young men but equally its hard to wave goodbye to my baby and enter toddlerhood which is quickly followed by a young adventurous boy and then suddenly pre-teens are around the corner and so it goes on but not to wish the time away, in fact that is the exact opposite because right now I'd like to press a pause button for a while. 2 is such an exciting age, my littlest is full of character and personality and is like a parrot when it comes to talking and copying everything we say and it's been such a pleasure and gift to parent this happy little boy. I love to support small homegrown independent business, especially those grown out of the creative surge that happens when you become a mother. I came across Carrie Anne of Mere Soeur last year and have watch her awesome business grow on Instagram and have been meaning to pick up one of the printed "Mother Daughter" tees for a while now and finally got around to doing it. She has just released a baby line of tees and new tote bags, accessories and her iconic boob mugs, she also recently put together an "Art of Motherhood" charity colouring book with all profits going to HomeStart. Moving on up - From cot to bed

It feels like I blinked and my youngest has gone from a newborn to a toddler in no time and is learning things at such a fast pace. He watches his older brother like a hawk and is so eager to get involved and keep up with him.  Every morning he climbs over me as we co-sleep most nights and the first thing he does is go to his brothers room to see if he is awake and tries to climb into his bed, which doesn't always go down well with my eldest. As soon as Baby G is up he is going a hundred miles an hour and I think things have happened quicker the second time around such as walking, using cutlery and his communication skills because he has an older sibling to look up too.
