Whether you are planning a beach break, heading somewhere exotic or simply enjoying the beautiful coastline we have here in the UK, then there are a few fun and summery style accessories that will help you embrace that summer mood especially as it always flies by faster than we expect, so enjoy the sunshine and warm temperates as much as possible while is here.
When it comes to fashion accessories, now is the time for playfulness, colour and fun and while I feel it's important for some accessories to be practical, it's also about adding that little bit of joy into your daily look and feeling good about yourself in the process.
1. 90's style sunglasses
90's sunglasses, in fact 90's fashion as a whole is experiencing a revival, and I for one am here for it. I loved being a teen in the 90's so seeing it resurface in current trends makes me very happy. The iconic sunglasses styles, such as tinted lenses, small oval shades and rectangular frames, are all back and perfect for styling up festival and beach-going looks. Not only are sunglasses a great accessory for summer but they also help protect your eyes.
2. Summer nails
With so many colours, designs and styles, anything you can think of these days you can have on your nails so why not really push the boat out and have fun with it and get some unique acrygel nails for summer that really help elevate an outfit. From classic colours to two-tone, nail art and unique designs, you can go as bold as you want. While I don't have the skills and would need to go to a professional, if you are a whizz with nail varnish, then you could also pick up some acrylic powder and have a go at doing your own acrylic nails.
3. Espadrille shoes
While sandals will always be a staple, the classic Spanish espadrille is back on trend as this casual shoe is both breathable and stylish, and there is a ton of choice when it comes to style and budget, from high-end designer pairs to high street ones as they are great for dressing both up and down as you can pop them on when meeting friends at your local beach or pair the up with some stylish trousers for drinks out. I have a few pairs and love them.
4. Tote Bags
Just like the espadrilles, tote bags are having a moment and are also seeing a resurgence in popularity, and you can understand why, they are perfect for carrying flip flops, suncream, a towel and all your bits and bobs when you hit the beach or carrying groceries home, as well as just a fashion piece with a purpose.
