Teaching my son to swim

Now is the time, his confidence in the pool is blooming and having turned three the little man is starting to be able to take direction and understand the importance of listening and learning. It was initially planned that we would take him to swimming lessons from very young, in fact we started it around the time he was 11 months old but after two sessions I tore my cartilage in my knee and could no longer take him to the lessons and they always seemed to be on a day John was working, plus the cost for baby and toddler lessons is a lot. I came to realise that coming from a very sporty background, having grown up in South Africa, that swimming is like second nature to me, seriously like second nature. I represented my State in springboard diving and ranked in the top three at the South African National Diving championships, I was also in my schools surfing team, competing regularly as well as swimming in our inter-house championships in crawl, freestyle and butterfly. Your wedding photographs are the witnesses of your love

This is one of my favourite wedding photographers I have taken, such a beautiful couple. I remember when I saw for the first time in my life, the wedding photos of my parents. Being just a kid, I fell in love with those pictures. Even though I am a tomboy I think that somewhere in every girl is the dream, imagining yourself in that dress (or suit), walking down the isle and standing next to your soul mate. I really want to share with you my experience of shooting photos at weddings and what it means to the clients. A wedding is one of those special days that should always be remembered. The best way to get the event transformed into an everlasting memory is to capture it. Nowadays, we take photos of everything. When it comes to birthday parties or weddings, a good photographer is absolutely needed. 2014 Travel Wishlist

We managed a few adventures last year, lots of camping and festivals which we hope to do this summer as well expect with a few more overseas trips as well, last year longer trips were on hold due to purchasing the new house but we have put together what we see as a fairly realistically wish list to aspire to over the next year, especially since we both really want to tick of a few new countries to our list which currently stands at 26 countries. 1. Scandinavia Inspiration - We really want to take our first steps (as we are sure we will visit more than once) to exploring those beautiful countries further north - possible a trip to see the Norwegian Fjords or the stylish Stockholm or possibly a having a danish in Copenhagen, either way there are chic cites and stunning outdoor landscapes to inspire the soul and we really want to explore this part of the world. A special little Outfit Post

I'm wearing Jacket - Topshop, T-shirt - Enigma, Jeans - Diesel, Creepers - Barratts Watch - Guess So just after Christmas I managed to pick up this lovely and warm denim Jacket from Topshop (alas not in the sale though). I really needed something to update my wardrobe as it's been a while (a very long while) and being a huge fan of the classic denim and enjoying the current 90's revival I fell in love with this jacket. I wanted to get something that was versatile, practical but also stylish and on trend and I feel like I have found it in this jacket, which was a very special treat, if you read on you will find out why.
