Family Laundry Hacks with Siemens iSensoric

I have to admit before having kids things like washing machines and laundry did not feature on my list of important things in my life but as soon as you have children your outlook on cleaning takes on a whole different perspective. Suddenly it seems like all you are doing is washing, simply to keep on top of the constant mountain that forms in the laundry basket on a daily basis.  If you don't have some kind of routine or plan in place things can go wrong and get on top of you very quickly. We have had a few "red socks in with the whites" and shrinking shirts situations due to rushing through the laundry pile trying to juggle two small children, sleep deprivation and basically keeping on top of the basic running of the home and attempt to look like a normal "stain-free" individual. The thing is with young children around, stains take on a new life of their own and throw in crafting, cooking, painting and eating this all means sticking fingers are a......

Godolphin Arms and exploring St Michael's Mount

For those who don't know where Marazion and Mount Bay is, it's near the tip of Cornwall overlooking the island fortress of St Michaels Mount, a stunning National Trust property. When living and studying in Cornwall many years back I never managed to make in onto the Mount and it was something I very much longed to do so when we got the chance over the summer we took it. En route to the Isles of Scilly we decided to treat ourselves to a night at the stunning Godolphin Arms , a beautifully restored beachside inn with the best views across the bay. and the closest accommodation to the Mount. Our trip down however did not go as planned and we almost didn't make it to the hotel at all due to our car breaking down near Exeter and having to be towed to a garage in the middle of nowhere, many hours later and a hire car to the rescue we finally collapsed on our king sized bed, ordered room service and planned for the adventures we would have the next day. The ne......

Easy learning with Teletubbies Magazine

It's not hard to see why the recently rebooted Teletubbies is a hit not only with toddler but also young children and this has been proven in my household as both my boys aged 6 and 19 months love these happy and colourful creatures. They have everything going for them, living in a wonderful magical land surrounding by rabbits, custard and a strange but happy vacuum called Noo Noo. You can see a review I did recently about the board books they are going - read it here  We vet everything our kids watch and read because our eldest is quiet sensitive and also personally I find a fair amount of child "approved" cartoons are not really that appropriate, at the end of the day they are only children once and that should be treasured and protected, they have their whole lives to be grown up and to us there is no rush. Saying that Teletubbies is welcomed in our house, there is nothing untoward about them and the show managed to engage both my boys despite the age difference ......

Street Style and a Night Out

I have to be honest here and say although I have always liked white jeans paired up with some boat shoes in the summer for an easy nautical look I have never actually committed to buying a pair before, perhaps because white jeans plus small children and lots of travel and outdoor adventures don't perhaps go hand in hand. But now more than ever I think it's important for woman especially busy mothers to have some "me" time and thought why not purchase a pair for lunch dates in the city with John or even running errands minus the kids (we have too many sticky hand situations to chance it otherwise), so when I saw these from French Connection I thought why not. I often tend to gravitate towards black but as the days get shorter I really want to bring a lighter feel to my daily outfits with some soft pastel colours, whites and light greys. I have paired up the jeans with a Love Life top from F&F and a light dusty pink biker jacket from Zara and I think......
