Short and sweet

So this is just a super quick post....John and I realised that we eat out quite a bit, sometimes for lunch or a quick coffee or a nice meal date but we don't blog about it that much so we have decided to incorporate it into the blog as I am also a very keen healthy eating cook, as I cook all our meals and get much enjoyment doing so...but every now and then I give John a break from my sugar free banana and apricot muffins and we have a little sweet treat out. Now we are huge fans of independent coffee shops and pretty much avoid chain stores and we have to be honest that we didn't actually know BB's Coffee and muffins was a chain (mainly do to there new logo design and look) but the quirky interior of the Cardiff St Davids store pulled us in along with a large selection of muffins (cupcakes are so last year) and friendly staff, we thought we would take a look. The coffee was very good and I had no problems getting mine made with soya milk. We shared a very yummy blueberry......

Weekend Inspiration

Ahh you know when you dream of what you will be when you grow up or things you would like to do...where you see yourself living..well here are three things I am thinking needs to happen at some point...like living in a house boat, with lots of flower pots (there is a houseboat in Bristol that has my name on it!!) While living on a houseboat I would still however need some wheels so besides a bicycle (which is a given) I have to get my hands on a Morris traveller...what a beautiful van. I love road trips and this would be perfect. I once drove from the West Coast of Scotland (Mallaig) to Lands End in Cornwall, where I camped beside's beaches and surfed a lot (most do a retrospective blog post about it sometime) in a banged up Corsa combo van that has a flower sticker on the front and a single mattress in the back...so too me this little Morris would be pure luxury and stylish at that. One more thing to complete the dream would be a little french bulldog......we hope ......

The David Beckham effect

I think it is very hard to deny, whether you like football or not, that David Beckham is a real style icon. Espcially when you look at the response to H&M's underwear campagin front the sports star. He is one of these men who has simply gotten better look and more stylish with age. I mean he has made mistakes....big fashion mistakes in his youth (including co-ordinating dressing with Victoria Beckham) but that couple of years have been pretty golden for the man with the midus touch. He has aged and is embracing the change and his hair is pretty spot on. He has become the poster boy for the dapper man which in the nighties you could never imagine.
