Creating a Happier Home

Home really is where the heart is and even though we know we are selling the house next year and moving onto another project we have still been having fun making our house a home and enjoying the outdoor space with the little man. Scents in the home and giveaway

A most of you know I love fresh flowers in the house but of course I am not Elton John and cannot afford fresh flowers twice a week, once a month is a treat for us. My favourite thing is the scent they bring into a room, there is nothing better than a beautiful scented home, not overpowering (thats not good either) but a lightly fragranced room can be a lovely thing, so when Air Wick asked me to review a few of their products I couldn't wait to see how they would fair. The scent of paradise

What does paradise smell like? Or to be precise what would be the signature scent of the Maldives? Well Kuoni has put this question to bloggers, to find out what nose tingling smell would encapsulate the beautiful islands of the Maldives, a truly inspirational place that would equally need an inspiring scent. To me it was be a combination of things - that wonderful lung filling smell of the fresh ocean air and sea salt in your hair, the sand beneath your feet and the warm sun on your skin, the taste of fresh coconut for breakfast, straight out of the coconut, the warming taste of freshly cooked curry in the evening and the sweet delicate notes of the frangipani flower that your child bends over to take a closer look. Airwick National Parks

A casual look for a trip back to the big smoke So literally a few days after we came back from our short family break in London the little man and I were off again, on the fast train back to the big smoke. This time however we had company in the form of the lovely and creative blogger Fritha from Tigerlilly Quinn and her son Wilf who we met at Bristol Templed Meads. It was really nice for the little man to have some company and it took the stress off us having to keep them entertained as they played and laughed together most of the way there. Little moments

So I just felt like a quick instagram update, I've only recently starting using that app (I know I am behind) as I favour my film camera more than anything, but it is such a great little tool to create a lovely feel to your images. So here are my favourite pics from the the weekend - first is my new bottle of Marc Jacobs Daisy...which if I was to describe it's scent in three words would be - fresh, free, spring. The next photo is a rare occasion that John and I both find time to go out in the evening together as our work hours and find someone to watch the little one can be a mission in itself.
