Most individuals think energy comes from food, sleep, and motivation. These things are crucial, but your environment affects your everyday routine. Clutter, noise, strong lighting, and uncomfortable furniture might distract you. Manage your routine, sleep, and stay awake in tranquillity. Space Sets Tone Entering places can change your energy without you realising it. A bright, organised area may help you start. Crammed or noisy spaces can make the same task harder. Your body and mind get regular cues from your surroundings. That doesn’t imply every home or office has to be perfect. Clutter is everywhere in most homes, from plates to clothes to papers to bags. The goal isn't perfection. Create enough order to keep the mind from being drawn in multiple directions. Just one clear space can help. A neat desk, bed, or area can help start the day. An easier-to-enter area reduces the energy required to overcome resistance. Light Alters Rhythm Light greatly impacts dayfeel. Morning natura......

Simple ways to De-stress in 2021
*This post contains afflialte links The past year has affected everyone in one way or another and it's certainly not been the easiest year to put it mildly. With social distancing, working from home of which many parents are also balancing that with homeschooling and even simple things becoming rather stressful, like doing the weekly food shop, now is the time to make sure we are taking time for ourselves and keeping on top of things like stress. There have of course been many positives to the last year with many people switching to working from home and preferring it, also increased family time, local walks and getting outdoors, reducing the commute and for some learning new skills. While we are still nowhere near "normal" its more important than ever to look after our mental wellbeing, so here are 5 simple ways to help reduce stress in your life. 1. Get outside We all know the benefits of making time to get some fresh air and we really cannot underestimate what an imp......
Spas are an incredibly popular way to relax. Many of us head to a spa with our friends to celebrate a special occasion. Or on our own to get some much-needed rest after a stressful period at work. It can be a great way to treat yourself and catch up with the people that you love but might not usually have time to see. But how about heading to a spa while you are on holiday? You might think that spending a day in the spa during a trip is a waste of time. You might have plans for your trip and be keen to do and see as much as possible, and spending the day in the spa might not fit into these plans. But, visiting a spa has many advantages, and could be an easy way to make your trip even better. To Give Yourself Time How often do you take time for yourself ? In everyday life, it’s something that few of us have time for, but it’s essential. Taking time away from your busy life and the stresses that come with it can help you to reduce stress and unwind. You might not have the time to ......
How much downtime do you have in life? Really? It seems that now, we can struggle to find anywhere to really relax. Whether you're pursuing your self-education , or you are working all the hours under the sun, you've got to find somewhere that can inspire, but relax you in equal measure. How can you make a space, whether inside or outside your home, where you can truly relax? Where Do You Want The Space ? It's usually decided for us. After all, we don't have lots of room in modern homes, and even if we do, we naturally decorate the space to make it appear fuller. Picking the right space isn't just about getting away from all the modern stresses, but it's about finding something that inspires you and aids relaxation. A garden is a simple solution because it's the closest you can get to nature without actually venturing miles away. But you have to make sure that the garden space is not going to stress you out. Sometimes there could be so much that needs do......

Mindful moments with Stars and Sage
I was recently invited to try out the Stars and Sage monthly bath ritual box and as I have been struggling to find a decent work-life balance of late I really liked the concept of this box which encourages a little "me time" in your own home in a natural and holistic way. Now I have always been someone who when time allows would opt for a bath over a shower as it's just so relaxing and a great way to wind down after a manic day. When it comes to subscription boxes and beauty products one of my main concerns is that the products are as ethical and cruelty-free and what I love about Stars and Sage's boxes is that this ethos is equally important to them. Firstly the box is made out of cardboard and recyclable and the products within are both high end while you can see time and care has been taken to curate a box that is as natural, organic and ethical as possible. When you open the box there is a little booklet inside telling you how best to use the produc......

5 Short-Haul Exotic European Destinations
When it comes to exotic destinations we often thinks of places like Thailand, Costa Rica or far-flung Caribbean islands but you really don't have to hop onto a long haul flight to find those white sands and crystal blue seas as there are plenty of short haul exotic destinations right here in Europe, making them a great for a mini-escape when you have had frankly enough of the unpredictable British weather. This list could easily be doubled what I am going to share but I thought I would put together a mix of places I have either been to or want to visit and certainly capture that exotic far-flung feeling. 1. Isles of Scilly Less than a 10-minute flight from Lands End and you are instantly transported to somewhere so unique and special you will wonder why you have never visited before. We spent a week exploring the Isles of Scilly in 2016 and have been dreaming of going back ever since. Every morning we woke up to the most beautiful views and would take barefoot strolls on ......

Adagio tea review and giveaway
I have always been a big herbal tea drinker, coming from South Africa I was brought up on Rooibos from a very early age as it's caffeine free and high in antioxidants and is common place in most homes in South Africa. I also love drinking tea in its most natural form as loose leaf so when Adagio Teas got in touch asking if I would like to review their large range of loose leaf teas I of course said yes. With so many health benefits drinking a daily cup of herbal tea can be a very positive thing as well as your morning ritual and a calm way to start the day. Loose leaf tea is often in general higher quality and I love that Adagio offer sample boxes which give you the chance to try four different kinds of tea to find of for yourself which one you like best and each sample box has enough loose leaf tea for around 40 cups. I really enjoyed trying out their Honeybush tea which is a sibling of Rooibos, also cultivated in South Africa and naturally caffeine free and subtly ......

The Bump Bundle Review
Having gone through two pregnancies and being the mother to a toddler and 7yr old I found that there were certain things that personally helped me through each journey even though both were quite different. Not only is your health important but so is your mental wellbeing and having a monthly box full of treats that are tailored to each trimester is something I certainly would of welcomed. There are a few different subscription boxes out there but The Bump Bundle is truly unique in that is not only is it full of luxury products but each month it also provides you with an essential formula of vitamins, which helps ensure you receive your daily intake of important nutrients throughout your pregnancy and come in a handy dispenser. The formula contains Folic Acid, Vitamin D, Iron and Zinc along with a separate Omega 3 tablet. Of course with any supplements if you have any underlining conditions than consult your GP but this essential formula was very similar to the pregnan......

Celebrating Afternoon Tea Week at Park Plaza
Did you know that it's Afternoon Tea Week so if there was ever a time to indulge in some scones and cream now is the time and why not I say? Everyone deserves a little treat every now and then and if you live in or around Cardiff I can highly recommend the Hendricks Gin Afternoon tea at Park Plaza if your looking for something just for adults with a fun and creative twist. This is not actually the first time we have reviewed the Hendrick Afternoon tea, you can read my other reviews here . It is however the first time John and I have paired it up with a little spa session at Laguna Health and Spa before enjoying the teapot cocktail and indulgent cakes as part of the Hendrick's Afternoon Tea and Spa package. You have the choice of either a Laguna Signature back massage which is what John opted for or a divine Laguna Signature facial which is what I had and it honestly was the best facial I have ever had, perfect for anyone who needs a bit of a pick up. As ......

5yrs old and what we've learnt
Mr A on his birthday Wow 5yrs old, both John and I cannot quite believe that our eldest turned 5 this week and long have the days passed that he would be considered a toddler but is now an adventuring spirited young boy on his own journey of discovery. I think with your first you never really know what to expect as becoming a parent is like nothing else, there is no manual, no prior training given, it's a learn on the job scenario which has both ups and downs a long the way but no matter how trying some days have been it's completely worth it. So after 5 years of parenting what have we learnt so far 1. The saying "Don't sweat the small stuff" really does apply here, there will be lots of things that will cause you stress on the parenting journey so don't get caught up in the smaller details of things and instead just try and enjoy the moment. I am naturally a person who likes to be in control and you simply cannot be all the time when it comes ......

Discovering the new me at 30
Enjoying my 30th with the family in Nice, France Turning 30 and celebrating my birthday in Paris and the South of France made me feel nowhere near 30, come on ladies, don’t frown after all age is just a number! Well at least John says I haven’t aged at all, although he would say that. My son seems to believe I just look the same as ever but than again he is only four, even though settling down and having a child has definitely made me mature both physically and mentally, I know I look more tired, my face slightly more worn but that is life and I am so grateful for the one I have. Life is short and we have to enjoy it in every bit, as the French popularly says C’est La Vie. At my 30th birthday lunch at Ralphs in Paris We were once walking down by a Village called Charonne, it is the most authentic village present in Paris. The cobbled roads, church in the plateau, it’s quite breath-taking and it reminded me of some of the old and quaint British vill......
