Fashion for New Years with Lyst

I know we have not even had Christmas yet but I am rather excited about New Years as last year I was heavily pregnant and struggling a bit with finding stylish and fun clothes in the 3rd trimester but that's not the case this year. Bristol Fashion and what I wore

So we were very kindly invited to the live blogging event at Bristol Fashion week (although John couldn't make it), I was invited last year but couldn't attend at the last minute so it was really nice to finally make it and see what the new season trends are looking like. On arrive the Bristol Fashion Week tent was very imposing, I have been to London Fashion Week a few times and it reminded me of the main catwalk at Somerset house but of course on a smaller scale. Once inside the tent the staff were friendly and courteous and some bubbly and cupcakes where immediately on offer. All the seats had all the information about the different lines that would be walking the catwalk. The show started with a very impressive James Bond theme with some very talented dancers come models. Cardiff Fashion Quarter

So it's official, Cardiff Fashion Week has started! With loads of fashion inspired events happening in and around the city, there is a real buzz around town. On Saturday 20th Oct it was the official launch of Cardiff Fashion Quarter in Womanby Street, which is housed in a former cinema. The outside of the building has been adorned with amazing spray painted artwork and the inside is just as bohemian and creative with lots of different and eclectic stores filled with vintage fashion, art work and oddities. Cardiff really needs something like this, an alternative to the high street and I really hope it does well. There was a a great atmosphere with artists, students, fashionistas and the DJ spinning some good tunes in the background it's a place you want to stay for a while and spend your time looking through the treasure trove that is Cardiff Fashion Quarter .
