Street Style Sunday - Organic Baby

So this winter is going to be Baby G's first real taste of biting cold weather as he was born right at the end of Feb and I only started taking him out and about Mid-March when it was already starting to get a little milder so this has meant shopping for something to see him through the winter months and keep him all nice and toasty I really do think children have the best choice of clothes, I mean I would love to be wrapped up in a soft super cosy winter fleece all in one especially one as beautiful as this eco-friendly organic Kite snowsuit from Little Chickie  which stock an array of cute baby and kids clothing (wish they made some of the stuff in adult sizes too) and this starry suit has got to be one of my favourite things Baby G has worn so far. The soft cotton jersey lining and detachable mitts make it perfect for winter and the small touches such as the little ears on the hood are just too cute and best of all is Baby G seemed to be very comfortable in it, smili......

Kids Bedroom essentials

So in the last post I spoke about stylish kids and toddler beds as well as a few cute and quirky accessories and thought I would share even more cool and colourful bedroom essentials for turning your child's space into a fun and interactive area. In my search for something a little different to hang on Mr A's wall I came across Urbanara which do a collection of wool felted animal heads such as the Elephant above as well as lions, giraffes and countryside animals such as foxes and rabbits and it offers a real 3D wall art affect that is perfect for a kids bedroom. There is no reason why a child's bedroom cannot be a place of wonder and somewhere that sparks one's imagination and transports them off to magical worlds. I remember spending hours in my room dreaming up all sorts of adventures which at times with the influx of technology today seems somewhat lost but can easily be brought back by using soft fabrics, bright colours and incorporating good design into th......

Menswear Essentials - Soft Coats

It's that time of the year when we it's not quite warm enough to go out without a jacket on hand but equally to warm for thicker coats, so now is the perfect time for the men to bring out the soft sartorial coats, like Johns Post Overalls jacket above. Soft jacket and coats are a great way to bridge the gap between more formal attire and the casual jumper and not only help with a little bit extra warmth before the summer evenings hit but also help bring and outfit together and can be worn during the day  spent in the city of on a family adventure or on a night out, by simply dressing it up with a tie for a more sophisticated evening look.  It's also great for light layering as the weather becomes warmer and creates a casual but softly tailored style and can really help bring an outfit together. Popular fabrics are cotton and linen and  John has a few soft style coats and jackets all of which become useful during this time of the year. Make sure you go ......

The Conscious Collection

Me in my Conscious collection shorts last year There is nothing better than when the eco friendly ethos pairs up with style to make practical and wearable pieces, thats why I always get excited when H&H Conscious line comes out, as it always has affordable pieces. The collection uses a mix of organic cottons to recycled polyester and it's always great to see a big retailer trying to cut down there use of raw materials and their carbon footprint. Last year I picked up a lovely pair of shorts which lasted my all summer and will be coming out again this summer season. I have put together a few of my favourite picks from the line this year that are practical but also well designed. This is not a sponsored post, just love sharing great eco clothing with you all Fine-knit poncho £24.99 Organic cotton top £6.99 Shorts in silk mix £29.99 They also do some home wear pieces in organic and eco friendly materials - and I am in love with this hare pillowcase......

Annie Greenabelle Eco love

Every now and then I like to highlight  a fashion brand that not only looks good but has pretty green credentials to boot. Please note I have not been asked by AG to do this post - this is simply a brand I love and want to share with you.   Annie Greenabelle is a women's ethical clothing company using mainly organic and fair-trade cottons and only use factories that comply with the Ethical Trading Initiative. I love there Mod and vintage feel and I think there A/W collection is very accessible - they also use real people to model there lines. Here are some of my fave new pieces I love this sixties style dress Thanks for reading Side Street Style ...

Eco Fashion love

So whenever possible I always try and support green campaigns, especially when it comes to Arthur, I feel much better knowing that he is wearing organic, fair trade or recycled cotton made in a sustainable way rather than not know where it came from - and possibly a sweatshop (often we don't know how our clothes are made). So this post is about highlighting 3 current campaigns from three very popular fashion labels. H&M have been stocking organic clothing for a longtime although now they are really starting to expand the line. Everything in the Conscious Collection is made from environmentally friendly materials such as organic cotton and linen to recycled wool and plastic (for accessories). They are really showing other retailers the way forward with regards to being green, stylish and affordable and I have to say I am very impressed with their current collection. More high-end brands are also getting involved with good causes such as Tommy Hilfigers Promise campaign......
