Winter Style - Tips for Wardrobe longevity

Even though it's been fairly mild this season, winter is still well and truly here. The other day when we had a bit of a cold snap, while I was out, I realised my nose was cold, which is a sure sign that it is time to have those much needed warming accessories such as gloves and scarfs on hand. As with all the seasons I try and make my clothes last as long as possible and that Slow Fashion is the way forward with sustainability but that doesn't mean you have to be out of trend but instead opting for classic styles with a few on trend pieces to update ones wardrobe, as well as caring for the clothes you already own and opting for quality over quantity. Autumn Style Inspiration

Even though it's been pretty mild we are very much in the heart of Autumn with Winter fast approaching. I don't know about you but I have packed away all my summer clothes and out have come the boots, jeans and an array of jackets from the waterproof ones suitable for our many weekly adventures or the more stylish ones for jaunts around the city. I really picked up a beautiful Camel jacket from Jaeger which I absolutely love and I am currently on the lookout for a new snood that will see me through the colder months. The one great thing about this time of the year is being able to layer your clothing as well as indulge in cosy knitted jumpers and soft knitted gloves giving you the chance to get creative with a whole range of warm fabrics and textures. It's that time of the year when we it's not quite warm enough to go out without a jacket on hand but equally to warm for thicker coats, so now is the perfect time for the men to bring out the soft sartorial coats, like Johns Post Overalls jacket above.
