For a lot of young families, buying a home can feel like something that is increasingly difficult, if not impossible. House prices are rising, and living costs are climbing higher and higher, too, then you have things like childcare expenses and deposit requirements to consider, and it can all seem too much. However, despite the many challenges young families face in the pursuit of home ownership, it is not completely out of reach if you are extremely focused, explore the right options and take time to research key strategies and opportunities in place to secure that first home of your own. As I am currently looking at moving, in what is a very volatile housing market and cost of living, as someone on a small budget, here are a few things I've learnt and may help you too. Shared ownership is helping many buyers While this won't be suitable for everyone, it may be an option worth exploring and one that has become increasingly popular is shared ownership. When a person buys a home, there is a variety of things that they need to think about. These things typically include worrying about if they can afford it, getting the right mortgage, what needs fixing, planning the garden, and much more. However, one thing a new home buyer doesn't usually think about is a home appliance warranty and those of us that do think about it may wonder whether it's right for them, with much of this driven by the fact that they may not know much about it. I personally have been burnt a few times, when appliances have given up, usually just after the standard warranty has finished. Such as when my washing machine gave up the ghost just after having my youngest and wow did the laundry pile up with a baby in the house, we had to call in a lot of favours from family and friends and getting it fixed was pretty stressful. A good starting point would be to seek out impartial and reliable advice on websites such as confused.com . What Is A Home Applia......

Eco Friendly stocking fillers for kids
Felt Giraffe £9.95 We are huge fans of natural wooden, nature inspired toys and crafts that inspire imagination and creativity. I think personally the craftsmanship and quality always seems a lot better than that of plastic toys and longevity is important to us, especially if we have any more children it's something that can be passed on. There is also something wonderful about the texture and feel of a wooden, fabric or paper toy that is more warming than that of a plastic one and it's really good for children to be surround by different textures that increase the sensory experience of their toys. Now this is not a sponsored post I just wanted to share our favourite picks from a store we often use when it comes to birthdays and special occasions - Myriad , a lovely natural toy and craft online shop. I wanted to put together some fun and affordable stocking fillers that are beautiful but also eco friendly Wooden Push Up Animals £5.50 African Kalimba £14.95 ......

As with every season, the high end designers beautiful creations will be remade and twisted to fit in with the high street ethos, making the latest trends accessible to all. The question is, what can we expect to see on the high street come spring 2014? Pretty in pastel pink Pastels were a big hit last S/S and they have returned to the London catwalks for another season. The hottest colour for spring is pretty, feminine pink creating the ultimate in feminine looks through the latest dress trends as well as suits.. Pink is one colour that can work for us whatever our age, especially in a pastel shade as the brighter the pink the harder it is to blend with our skin tones. Now as a busy mum, pastel shades can be slightly worrying; firstly due to their light tone they are susceptible to dirt and secondly many p......

I have been looking for a lose and bohemian style skirt for a while and this is perfect for summer and the festival look, I have paired it up with a classic M&S white tee for a simple style.
