Don't you just love it when you come across something you know is going to work with so many things and be used over and over again. As I am trying to minimalise so much of life right now so when purchasing clothes I know are going to contribute to a cohesive capsule wardrobe for the coming season is really important. I've been looking for a simple olive green/khaki jacket for a while so when I came across this one in TopShop I knew it would be a good choice and while I had a more tailored shirt or jacket in mind I really love that this one is more loose and casual. I have paired up this jacket with a simple white tee from Mango and a pair of skinny jeans with Ankle boots from Wallis and a Bowler hat from Urban Outfitters with some glasses from the H&M Conscious recycled plastic collection. Street Style - My Kanken
Since my youngest has started running around like really keeping me on my toes I have dropped the changing backs and wanted to opt for something more practical but also very stylish to carry our day to day essentials. Of course, the first thing that came to mind was a Kanken by the Swedish outdoor brand Fjall Raven, a backpack that was designed in 1978 and has continued its popularity through it's simple and modern design. Wearing Kanken backpack, Toyshop chambray, Jojo Mama Bebe dress Sometimes when I do go out I opt for a smarter bag but these are perfect for when your busy and on the go, plus the choice of colour waves is amazing. I decided to opt for this fun blue one which adds a pop of colour to any casual outfit. Mama style and Ethical Fashion
Just over year down the line from having Baby G and my body is still changing but I am starting to feel a little bit more like me again. I am still breastfeeding him so this does affect what I can and cannot wear which is probably why one of my got to pieces this seasons are dungaree dresses, shorts and workwear style as not only are they super comfortable and practical but also on trend. I am also very into navy blues and browns at the moment and I love my new Oasis Winnie Weave bag from House of Fraser I am also trying to be more conscious when it comes to new purchases or re-using and up-cycling clothing.
