Between the mine and kids wardrobes I have recently dropped of no less than 8 full bags of clothes to charity shops as part of my minimalist challenge. This has made my closet look rather sparse and in need of a few items for spring. Clothes are one of those items that do need to be replaced and fashion is also about individuality and having fun with fabric and colours. It's just about curbing excess and loving what you purchase. Lately I have been picking up a few things here and there mainly with ethical and independent stores and brands and have not looked at the high street in a few months and I think thats a really good thing as I was pleasantly surprised when walking through New Look the other day and come across this super cute blue shirt with embroidered flowers. It's really light and perfect for these warmer days and I love the floral theme. I have paired it up with some skinny jeans and my black Sperry shoes for a easy casual weekend look. This spr......

Street Style Sunday - Playsuit
I came across this simple but stylish playsuit by accident a few weeks ago, I don't know how I stumbled onto Romwe, an American site but either way I love it. Being a huge fan of black I thought Navy was adding a bit more colour and pairing up with my patent brogues from Clarks, a small satchel bag from New Look and Rose Quartz Crystal Necklace from the Happiness Boutique . I have found since having kids and getting little older that I look for clothes that need to be wearable for the whole day as well as practical for running around after the children or doing errands and I think this playsuit is perfect for that. I was recently sent this beautiful necklace and I have yet to take it off. I have always been interested in Crystals and their ability to help ground you, aid calm and be used for different alignments to improve your wellbeing. The Rose quart is naturally speaks to your heart Chakra and is a very loving and happy stone and can help build str......

Street Style Sunday - Simplicity
As with life things are always changing, another year passes, we slowly say goodbye to another summer, we get a little older and your tastes change, your outlook on certain things or how you live...life really is a work in progress. Personally I know that I am more grateful and content than I have been before, I have realised how less really is more and that I get comfort from familiar things, fabrics, foods, flowers. So as the summer comes to an end I wanted to enjoy this indian summer in my favourite fabric - denim with this W collection chambray which I have paired up with a pair of Topshop black jeans, H&M hat, New Look bag and some stylish, sporty and also super comfy Etnies from The Board basement Summer is my favourite season of the year although honestly it felt like it never really got started this year, we had a heat wave right at the start and then in Wales it pretty much rained from then onwards, all the playsuits, shorts, skirts and dresses never really g......

Street Style Sunday - LBD
Yeah it's Sunday and that means Street Style Sunday linkup - hope you can come and join in with anything fashion related from what is inspiring you to what you and your family is wearing. The weather has really taken a turn for the better this week, warm spring sunshine and the feeling that summer is just around the corner, which has meant all those heavy winter jacket being packed away and skirts, dresses and chambrays are out. I have also welcomed spring with a slight hairstyle update in the form of a fringe Since I am feeding Baby G it can be pretty hard to find a decent nursing dress, something that is both stylish and practical. While I was pregnant I work this Bibee tunic dress which works both as a maternity and nursing dress and is perfect for this time of year since as it's long sleeved but not too warm and can be worn with leggings on cooler days. Today was also the perfect opportunity to wear these cute Hush Puppies penny loafer style shoes I picked u......

Street Style Sunday - The Holiday Edition
Wearing Boden Tunic, Holster jelly sandals, New Look Bag and Necklace So as some of you know we recently went on an amazing holiday down to the South of France and that meant only one thing - warmer weather and getting in a little bit of summer style before the end of the year. Being 18 weeks pregnant at the time of this photo, taken in Cannes, meant that I was in a bit of an in-between phase, not quite big enough for maternity clothes but yet all my normal clothes are somewhat on the tight side of things so this Boden tunic was perfect for me, very loose but with a belt it brought it in and gave enough space for the bump and paired up with my super comfy Holster jelly sandals as well as my Bag and Necklace which are both from New Look As always I have paired up with the lovely Natalie from Style Me Sunday blog to bring you Street Style Sunday linkup which is open to any fashion related posts - mood and inspiration boards, outfits of you, your kids or partner - in ......

Street Style Sunday - Festival Fashion
So as some of you may already know we have been at our first festival of the season this weekend (review to come soon) and in preparation I was asked by New Look to put together a little festival outfit that I would actually wear (and have now worn) to a festival. I am a real fan of the dungarees this season as they are stylish and practical as well as the tasselled knitted vests, plus festivals and summer is all about accessories from necklaces to flower headbands and bracelets. The great thing is I managed to get this whole outfit from top to toe (excluding the sandals) for under £60, which is perfect when I am sure most of it will be muddy by the end of the weekend and I am really impressed with the quality and comfort of the denim as well as the beautiful necklace. I am joining up with the lovely Natalie over at Style Me Sunday for the weekly Street Style Sunday linky so why not join in, you can link up with any style or fashion related post or outfit of you, you......

Going Geek
Fashion is all about having fun and every now and then I just love to get out our Cazals and wear them out and about - I mean if they were good enough for Run DMC in the 80's they will do me fine. It's the great thing about our culture today, we can draw from so many inspirations, especially when it comes to music. I love indie bands to acoustic to sixties, hip-hop, punk and everything in between so why no mix it up every now and then? So I went for a casual picks in my go to white converse trainers some skinny jeans, a graphic tee from New Look and my somewhat worn in leather style jacket and Norse Project beanie hat. Do you have a look you like to play around with every now and then?...

Wild and Free
Dream on Dreamer - tee from Glamour Kills Until recently I hadn't heard of Glamour Kills, an independent clothing company from the US, but after winning a $50 voucher from a twitter comp, I couldn't wait to learn more. I love the youthful designs, that are unique but also very wearable and fit my personal style so well, so I went for this cool tee and wooden bracelet with the words "Wild and Free" - something I always inspired to be and something I really want my son to live by. Wild and Free During the week I also picked up a lovely necklace and ring from at sale at New Look. I try to buy things that are going to last or are ethical but with it being a heavy month of bills, it was great to find some beautiful bargains to brighten up my accessory collection. Necklace - New Look, T-shirt - Glamour Kills, Jeans - Diesel, Jacket - Thrifted, Watch - Guess, Shoes - Peacocks Most days I am pretty busy with the little man so trying to find the balanc......

Affordable style and bohemian skirt
Laura is wearing a Ralph Lauren Denim Supply shirt, M&S tee, Guess watch and New Look Sandals So I think I can safely say it's been a tight squeeze for everyone over the past year or two and most of us work hard for our money and we do deserved to treat ourselves every now and then and also I am a huge believer in buying quality over quantity. I managed to pick up this Ralph Lauren Bandana skirt in their online sale for 50% off! I have been looking for a lose and bohemian style skirt for a while and this is perfect for summer and the festival look, I have paired it up with a classic M&S white tee for a simple style. Another great site that I have been checking out lately is Achica , since we are in between houses and are actively looking for our new house to buy I am looking more and more at homely accessories which Achica has in bucket loads, as well as amazing Travel deals - our other favourite pastime. Achica not only has some great fashion deals but al......
