Beach Adventures Part 1

Wow what amazing weather we have had in the run up to Easter and we made sure that we soaked up each and everyday to the full, hence why it's Beach Adventure part one as we visited two different beaches last week as well as Cardiff Bay and I thought it would be better to break down each post as each adventure was different from the other. Our first stop was Barry island, luckily we managed to get there the day before schools break up so it was lovely and quite and the water was warm. It was so lovely to have the sand beneath our feet, it's been so long overdue, to run and in and out of the water and spend hours doing so. Collecting seaweed and sand in backers, running away from waves and collecting sea shells and pebbles. Dogs don't do Ballet - Theatre Review

Mr A ready for the show At the end of the last month the little man and I were lucky enough to have a little trip to the theatre at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama to watch The Little Angle Theatre puppet production "Dogs don't do Ballet" and we were hooked instantly just by the name, it's screams out curiosity and fun. It can sometimes be hard to find age appropriate shows but this one was perfect for toddlers and children aged 2-6 yrs old. The story is based around a dog called Biff who unlike ordinary dogs likes music and walking on his tiptoes and is convinced he is not a dog but rather a ballerina. This is brought to life through beautiful puppets, ballet music and comedy and it had a lot of laugh out loud moments for both toddlers and adults. It mixes puppets and performers together with the show starting with one of the performers taking the role of the ballet dancer and getting the children to do some ballet moves in their seat, which......

Active Family - Watersports and Wetsuit lowdown

A photo I took while living in Cornwall As some of you may already know I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, very close to the coast and from a n early age spent a lot of time at the beach, either skateboarding when the surf was flat our out in the water. I was a very active child (I still am) and you to spend hours surfing and learnt a lot about the importance f good equipment such as wetsuits which is imperative, as well as looking after your equipment.
