We had a lot of beach fun last year When you think of spring holidays, do you get put off by the prospect of hours waiting at crowded airports, long lines at customs and immigration, and flight delays? If you do, think about spending your holiday here in Britain. There’s a lot to see and do and all right on your own doorstep. Britain just oozes history and you don’t have to travel far before you come across one of the magnificent castles or stately homes of which we are rightly so proud. In Scotland, there are the great castles of Edinburgh and Stirling; in Wales you’ll find Harlech and Caernarfon; and in England there is the Tower of London and Windsor, Dover and Warwick Castle to name just a few. And as for stately homes, there are too many to mention that are worth a visit, but names like Blenheim Palace, Longleat, Chatsworth, Levens, Waddesdon Manor and Hardwick Hall stand out. Outside the beautiful Natural History Museum London If you are a museum or art galler......

Old El Paso Quesadilla review
I have to admit we buy pretty much everything fresh and make most of our suppers from scratch, it's something we have always done but every now and then we like to rustle up something a bit different that is quick and easy (so even John could make it) so when Old El Paso sent us a few bits and bobs we couldn't wait to have go. Of course we make things like veggie wraps and what not during the week as it's a lovely way to use up vegetable and is fairly healthy and frugal but we usually would just use some spices or herbs to season so I was intrigued to see what the little man thought of the cheese spicy Quesadillas. I knew straight away John would love them as he is a huge fan of Mexican food and as it was the end of the weekend this felt even more like a family treat. So the packs give you pretty much the base and you can add to that what you like. Mr A and I simply went for sliced mushrooms, the tomato salsa and some light cheese, while John opted for C......
So as some of you may already know we are currently making improvements to our new home and the next room we are tackling is the loft space and bathroom which simply due to the less practical shape it's throwing up some interesting ideas to say the least and it creates some interesting features such as the light giving VELUX® windows which really make the room feel light and airy. Our little bathroom in the eves So how do you plan a small bath room in the eves or loft? 1. Main thing with any small bathroom is to keep it simple and keep clutter to a low. You want to try and make it streamline and have practical and clever storage space - which is key. Also work with what you have - we have an ugly cabinet which I am going to be stripping and painting next week and putting some vintage doorknobs on and even though it may not be perfect it will improve the overall look of the room with out breaking the budget. I'm going to be stripping and painting the cabin......

Miss Patisserie Launch
Cardiff never seizes to amaze me with it's talent and creativity. Perhaps not the bohemian hub like cities such as London or Bristol but slowly and surely we are getting there in our own way. So I am always pleasantly surprised and excited to attend events in and around the city, especially went its supporting local businesses such as launch of the new shop and premises of the beautifully handmade bath and beauty company Miss Patisserie . Now I had actually seen Miss Patisserie products before and never knew they were made right here in Wales! Such cute and creative products, most popular being their cupcake bath bombs made to a very high standard, so much so that they are stocked in high end retailers such as Harrods and Fenwicks, plus loads of independent stores. The evening was a chic affair with an array of tasty nibbles from sushi to real cupcakes (almost mistaken for bath bombs) and lots of champagne. It was really great to have a walk around and see how......
