A few weeks back I was sent a De-stress and Unwind natural health gift set from Indigo herbs to try out and it was perfect timing in the run up to the summer holidays and even when you prepare as much as possible, being a freelancer and then having the kids all day every day can become quite a balancing act and I often do feel stress creep in a little. I am really passionate about natural remedies and approach to things in live and the power of plants have been used for thousands of years. I started drinking Chamomile when I was around 13yrs old, herbals teas have always been very popular in South Africa with Rooibos being the nationals favourite drink. The gift set comes with a 100% pure Chamomile flower tea and it's a real tonic for nerves and is great when you want something to help calm from the inside out. The gift set also comes with with two aromatherapy oils, one is an essential oil which can be used in an oil burner or a few drops added to a relaxing bath......

Adagio tea review and giveaway
I have always been a big herbal tea drinker, coming from South Africa I was brought up on Rooibos from a very early age as it's caffeine free and high in antioxidants and is common place in most homes in South Africa. I also love drinking tea in its most natural form as loose leaf so when Adagio Teas got in touch asking if I would like to review their large range of loose leaf teas I of course said yes. With so many health benefits drinking a daily cup of herbal tea can be a very positive thing as well as your morning ritual and a calm way to start the day. Loose leaf tea is often in general higher quality and I love that Adagio offer sample boxes which give you the chance to try four different kinds of tea to find of for yourself which one you like best and each sample box has enough loose leaf tea for around 40 cups. I really enjoyed trying out their Honeybush tea which is a sibling of Rooibos, also cultivated in South Africa and naturally caffeine free and subtly ......

Smart Sleep even when your kids don't
If you have read my blog before or follow me on my social channels you may already know that this little man above doesn't sleep fantastically well and is up every night at some point meaning I'm on tired mama. We have tried everything to get him to sleep through but nothing has worked as of yet which means the hours I do get need in between wakes need to be quality sleep so that I can be a functional member of society which is not always the easiest of tasks when sleep deprived. Of course the more tired you are throughout the day due to lack of sleep, the easier it will be for you to make mistakes, lack energy or feel overwhelmed. While it is true that getting the right amount of sleep is important in my case right now that is harder said than done but still there are things I can do to improve the sleep I do get and hopefully these tips can also be useful for you to achieve better sleep at home. Taking a look at a Brooklinen review will give you enough information to ......

Taylors Tea and saving Bees
I feel with age and each year passing I've started to see a more defined picture of myself, what I stand for and believe in and the type of legacy I want to leave behind for my children. As I get older my passion for the environment, outdoors and nature has grown year on year and as a household we aim to consciously leave as little impact on this earth as possible. As they say one person cannot make much of a difference but if we all made small positive changes together we really could make an impact. If your interested in gardening and the environment, like most people will know our precious native British honey bees have been in decline but a whole 50% over the past 25 years which really is a very scary thought when so much depends on them. The sad thing is a lot of their decline is down to us and how we treat this beautiful planet of ours, the pollution, pesticides and man-made changes to their environment so when Taylors Of Harrogate got in touch to tell me they were ......
As a rule of thumb I tend to stick to a fairly healthy diet but I have to say I too am partial to a little afternoon indulgence every now and then so when Park Plaza asked me to come along and try out their Hendrick's Afternoon Tea with some other lovely local bloggers I was excited at the prospect of not only a little bit if baby free time (possibly the 3rd social activity minus kids in the last year) as well as cheeky cocktail and decadent treats. John and I have actually had the Hendrik's afternoon tea before but it was slightly different as we tried out the Gluten-free option which is possible with this tea. The Park Plaza is situated right in the heart of Cardiff but as soon as you go through the doors you leave the stress and manic atmosphere of the city and step into a calm, stylish and peaceful environment. The afternoon tea takes place in The Laguna Bar and before sitting down we had a chat over a delicious cocktail made up by one of their highly experience......

A crafty Afternoon with Brecon Carreg
Last month we were invited to a wonderful afternoon full of fun, crafts and good food at one of our favourite spots in the city centre - Wyndham Tea. This family friendly event was put together by Brecon Carreg who did an amazing job of putting together a simple but creative craft using recycled Brecon bottles that was perfect for little fingers. First of all however was lunch, which was fresh, healthy and gave us a chance to sit down and chat to other bloggers before the craft session started. After so delicious food and of course a cup of herbal tea all the kids settled around a big table and got stuck in. Cutting, sticking, painting and everything in-between their creations slowly came together. Mr A decided to make his favourite animal - a Giraffe and he was very proud with his end result. Being heavily pregnant at the time it was lovely to be able to do something with him together and it was lovely that John could join us as well for the perfect family afternoon. ......

Afternoon Tea at The Park House Cardiff
We were recently asked to review somewhere new in Cardiff and had heard great things about The Park House - a beautiful Victorian building overlooking the museum which used to be a members only establishment but has opened up to the public in the past few years. I had been to the basement cocktail bar - The Vanilla Rooms before but neither of us had ate at The Park House so we decided to try out their Afternoon tea as a relaxing treat during what is turning out to be a very very manic time of the year. The building is exquisite and luxurious and as soon as the large wooden doors opened and we were greeted and coats taken we knew we would be in for a treat. Our table was ready and waiting for us. With high ceilings and beautiful ornate windows looking out across winter wonderland it was like an oasis in the city being somewhere so peaceful. We had a few different drink options including various loose leaf teas and artisan coffees as well as upgrading to a bubbly afte......
