How much downtime do you have in life? Really? It seems that now, we can struggle to find anywhere to really relax. Whether you're pursuing your self-education , or you are working all the hours under the sun, you've got to find somewhere that can inspire, but relax you in equal measure. How can you make a space, whether inside or outside your home, where you can truly relax? Where Do You Want The Space ? It's usually decided for us. After all, we don't have lots of room in modern homes, and even if we do, we naturally decorate the space to make it appear fuller. Picking the right space isn't just about getting away from all the modern stresses, but it's about finding something that inspires you and aids relaxation. A garden is a simple solution because it's the closest you can get to nature without actually venturing miles away. But you have to make sure that the garden space is not going to stress you out. Sometimes there could be so much that needs do......

Enjoying some sofa time
Really want to cosy up on this stylish sofa ( image) I have to say coming into my 35th week of pregnancy I am really starting to slow down and the energy levels have really seen a drop of late. I have up until this point felt fairly fit and active but the time is coming that I really want to curl up, watch some TV or read a book on a big comfy sofa and embrace a moment of calm before the chaos. Perhaps this more lazy approach to the start of the year is not the best but I am going with it as it's what my body needs right now and I am letting myself enjoy everything that this "down time" has to offer these cold evenings as well as relaxing to some of our records in the record nook. Relaxing in our record nook So for this once I am not going to be beating myself up about not totally keeping track to my New Years resolutions and to be honest I think sometimes we all need to give ourself a break as well as approach things in a realistic manner and with ......

Pregnancy Update - 16 weeks
Wow I cannot believe how the time is flying this time round, I think I am just so busy with the little man there is hardly time to think about it and my growing bump - which I can say has finally arrived (this striped top covers it well). I have found it harder to sleep lately, my mind seems so active at night but otherwise I am all good. I am in a strange part of the pregnancy with regards to clothing, not quite there on maternity clothes yet it's getting a bit of a squeeze to get into my normal jeans. Also as we are gearing up for a holiday this week has also been all about relaxing, finding calm and keeping on top of things and I personally prefer to use natural products and have always sworn by Rescue Remedy especially when travelling, which is the first thing I am going to pack on our holiday to France. It simply helps to find that inner calm and clarity. ...

Time to relax and Pied A Terre Giveaway
With everything so fast paced in our lives at the moment it can be really hard to simple switch off but for our personal wellbeing we all need to disconnect every now and than. Some save up for a 2 week holiday away from it all, others like me just try and find moments of calm during each day, wether it be a peaceful cup of coffee, lighting a beautifully fragranced candle, enjoying the fresh sea air or just having an extra five minutes in bed, they all help to calm the mind. I have to say one of my favourite ways to relax is to spend time near water, I love the seaside, harbours and beaches and during my childhood we lived near the coast and I spent many a sunny day either surfing, walking the dogs along the beach or unsuccessfully fishing off the side of a jetty. For some reason I always feel free near the sea. What is your favourite way to relax? Having a cosy night in, treating yourself to a spa day or relaxing in the bath? Well to help you on your way to a more......
It feels like every day of adult life requires us to be organised, juggling all aspects of our day to ensure that everything gets done and nothing is left forgotten. While it can sometimes feel like an uphill struggle at the best of times, things can get even more hectic in the run up to Christmas, especially where the kids are concerned. Christmas concerts, parent’s evenings, Christmas parties and weekend treats are just some of the things that we need to add to our overflowing diaries and that’s without even thinking about the shopping! The sooner we think about that the better and while many people may put off until tomorrow what they could be doing today, it’s better to be as organised as possible so that we can limit the stress suffered. Organisation is key if you want the festive period to go by without a hitch and here are a few snippets of advice that may help you survive the lead-up to the big day. Start buying presents early If you’re in charge of the......
