Wychwood Family Festival Review

So two weeks ago we came home from 4 days of blissful camping, music, food and fun, all with a toddler under 3. Now some people would be daunted by the idea of taking a toddler to a music festival but you needn't be, as long as you choose the right festival, with facilities and entertainment for little ones you will be in for a treat. We started our summer off at Wychwood festival in Cheltenham, the weather was not amazing by any standards, it was cold at times and very windy but at it was dry the whole weekend and you cannot ask for more. First impressions of Wychwood - well this is by far the most civilised festival we have ever been to and is perfect for the festival beginner. Over the whole weekend, not once did we ever go to a toilet that didn't have any toilet roll and they were all spotless, plus warm showers and an easy access camping site that was only a few minutes walk from the festival site is all a bonus. Family camping teaser

So we are back from our family festival and camping trip and we had an amazing time! Wychwood festival was a great start to our summer of fun and their campsite was amazing - big and spacious on Cheltenham racecourse with lots of little hidey holes for children to explore. We spent the whole weekend outside, even though it was windy the sun was out and Mr A loved every second of it. With lots of music, dancing and fun family workshops like working with clay, bubbles fun and storytime in the sun it was a win win all round, plus nothing beats eggs and beans on a camping stove. Start your summer here - Wychwood Festival

So as you already may know, we love music and we love festivals and we cannot wait for summer to start so we can indulge in these two loves. I know weather-wise it's been a bit of a slow start to the year but fear not the temperature is rising and can you believe it we are nearly into June! With every weekend crammed filled with music and outdoor options during the hight of the summer we are spoiled for choice but the festival that stands out for us as the start to this all is Wychwood Festival in Cheltenham - which opens it's doors on the 31st May for three days of music, comedy, family fun and much more, with an amazing line up this year including Bill Bailey - Yes THE Bill Bailey and The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, The Wedding Present, The Beat, Kate Nash, Lucy Rose and Mr Bloom for the little ones - this is going to be one exciting festival.
