Being apart of the Millennial generation as well as being a self-employed work from home mother of two active boys I know my life like many others is pretty hectic as well as very different to our parents generation. Now more than ever people work digitally and nomadically, offices have been exchanged for coffeeshops, hotels and even city centre parks and we are seeing more and more woman taking advantage of being able to work around their children and from home. Also with the rising cost of living we see a more move away from the traditional setup of there being one breadwinner in a family and now two incomes are usually needed. Working flexible hours means that occasionally I need flexible childcare and even though I strive to get a good balance of working around my children that is not always possible especially when deadlines are looming. Dreamy Bedroom
So we are hoping to move in a couple of months, once we have found the right place to move to that is, but my mind is already very much in dream mode, colour schemes and what our new home may look like. One thing for sure is that we are going to get a new bed - the time has come, for a bigger, family sized bed, as our little man loves to lie between us in the morning or when he has had a bad dream during the night. I love so many different looks from Boho chic, French inspired interiors, natural and nomadic to New York loft and city chic. When it comes to the perfect bedroom the bed is my number one priority. It's needs to be big and soft, with a comfortable but firm mattress adorned with lovely throws, blankets and pillows. The headboard is also important as it frames the bed, creates the style and a lot of thought needs to go into choosing which one you want, I love vintage metals ones, as well as the more natural wooden frames, but I think once we know what our new house looks ......
