Street Style and a Night Out

I have to be honest here and say although I have always liked white jeans paired up with some boat shoes in the summer for an easy nautical look I have never actually committed to buying a pair before, perhaps because white jeans plus small children and lots of travel and outdoor adventures don't perhaps go hand in hand. But now more than ever I think it's important for woman especially busy mothers to have some "me" time and thought why not purchase a pair for lunch dates in the city with John or even running errands minus the kids (we have too many sticky hand situations to chance it otherwise), so when I saw these from French Connection I thought why not. I often tend to gravitate towards black but as the days get shorter I really want to bring a lighter feel to my daily outfits with some soft pastel colours, whites and light greys. Stripes, Kamigata and Street Style Sunday

Earlier this week I was kindly invited to the Kamigata birthday bash at their St Davids Cardiff store and for those who don't know who or what Kamigata is it's basically one of the top hairdressers and beauty Salons in Cardiff - in fact I wrote about their express pamper service a while back. They had paired up with the Vivienne Westwood store which is just around the corner from Kamigata to do a season predictions showcase and their were a few pieces I really loved.  I knew it was going to be a very stylish affair and thought it would be a great oppurtunity to wear my lovely new Joules striped autumn dress, which I have to say accommodates my growing bump perfectly and can be dressed up or down. Kamigata Express and Pamper

Wow last week I was really made to feel pampered, and it came just at the right time with all the house moving stress in my life. I was lucky enough to try out the new Kamigata Express Service and for those who don't know who or what Kamigata is, it's a swish newish hair, beauty and spa hotspot right in the centre of Cardiff, found in St Davids 2. So what is the express service? It's amazing for one thing, but to be exact it's perfect for those who are short for time but want to be made up before going out or to an event or if you just feel like treating yourself and it includes a lovely Aveda mini-facial, manicure and a blow-dry from one of their professional stylists. So here is how my personal experience went, first of all on arrival the staff were very friendly, welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. A perfect pamper day at St Pierre Marriott, Chepstow

The beautiful Marriott Hotel - St Pierre in Chepstow So it's been pretty much work work work lately with a stop of illness to throw everything out of the window so it was lovely to get the chance to have a date day just John and I and have a relaxing " experience day " pamper session at the beautiful St Pierre Marriott in Chepstow. It feels like an age since we have spent any quality time with just the two of us and as soon as we got on the road and headed to this beautiful part of South Wales, I felt relaxed. The hotel was exquisite, a 14th century manor surrounded by countryside of the Wye Valley and we were instantly blown away with beauty of the place. Next Home Blogger Event

So last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the Next Home-ware blogger event in Cardiff. It was a great day out with some inspiring interiors, stylish bloggers and high tea in a penthouse suite at St Davids hotel. The day started out with a tour of the Next store in Leckwith Cardiff, which is amazing by the way - it's so huge and has an amazing homes section. I loved all the room sets and there is a real nautical theme this season as well as a crafty, home-made element, especially with their cute cushion covers. They have some great accessories and they are all very reasonably priced, more than I expected. The furniture can be quite expensive but is solid, well made, has designer features and worth the little bit extra. Bristol Fashion Week is coming

So I can't wait for the Live Blogging event this friday at Bristol Fashion Week! There is going to be so much to see and do including the catwalk show presented by fashion stylist Mark Heyes and celebrity hairstylist Andrew Barton, which will be showing all the essentials for the season ahead and with so many brands and designers being apart of BFW including Coast, Dune, French Connection, Cecil Gee, Jigsaw, Monsoon, John Lewis and Radley to name a few it's surely going to be a great event. Also I love Bristol, the street style in the city is always amazing and I am constantly inspired when I am there. Besides the catwalk show there is also the pamper zone (which I will be visiting for sure!), a relaxing place were you can have mini manicures, make-overs and indian head massages.
