3 of my favourite Fairytale destinations

The view from St Martins, Isles of Scilly Between John and I we have been lucky enough to travel to some fantastic places, from Africa to America, Europe, isolated islands to cities and it can be hard to pin point exactly our favourite places and it's often the lesser know and more unusual ones that surprise us the most. Netflights got in touch to ask me what was my favourite fairytale destination and not in the Disney sense but rather real castles up on hills and breathtaking views that have your eyes doing a double take. Godolphin Arms and exploring St Michael's Mount

For those who don't know where Marazion and Mount Bay is, it's near the tip of Cornwall overlooking the island fortress of St Michaels Mount, a stunning National Trust property. When living and studying in Cornwall many years back I never managed to make in onto the Mount and it was something I very much longed to do so when we got the chance over the summer we took it. En route to the Isles of Scilly we decided to treat ourselves to a night at the stunning Godolphin Arms , a beautifully restored beachside inn with the best views across the bay. and the closest accommodation to the Mount. Our trip down however did not go as planned and we almost didn't make it to the hotel at all due to our car breaking down near Exeter and having to be towed to a garage in the middle of nowhere, many hours later and a hire car to the rescue we finally collapsed on our king sized bed, ordered room service and planned for the adventures we would have the next day. Meeting Mickey Mouse at Disney World in Florida I have always been a dreamer and a believer in fantastical things, amazing adventures through magical lands on horseback encountering trolls and dragons and good always defeating evil in the end. I was one of those kids who easily got lost in the world of make believe, my imagination often ran wild and I would happily re-enact these adventures in my bedroom for hours on end. As you can imagine growing up I was a huge fan of Disney films and books as they had everything I could want in a story and seeing them come to life in such a vivid away on screen instantly captured my attention. Must See shows at The Sherman

If you live in or around Cardiff you will more than likely have heard about The Sherman Theatre - a fantastic place that helps develop and nurture Welsh and Wales based artists and provides a platform for them to showcase their productions in a professional and high production manner. We have been to this Theatre many times and have never been disappointed as it has something for everyone - amazing kids shows that are engaging and interactive to more serious dramatic and inspiring plays for a more adult audience. This month we have been lucky enough to come along and review two very different productions that are currently running at The Sherman, the first being The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and the second  being The Princess and the Pea.
