Getting Party ready with JD Williams

Who else is starting to get really excited about the festive season and to many that means parties, events, seeing family and friends and socialising. Even for those who work from home like I do it's a time for meeting up with friends, enjoying good food and a time to step out of those day to day clothes and into something a little bit more special, I mean who doesn't love an excuse to dress up. Long gone are my twenties however and I do sometimes struggle around this time of the year to find something that is fun, stylish and festive while still being a little bit more sophisticated and me. As I have aged my personal style and changes and developed with me so finding somewhere that captures my needs now is really important. JD Williams recently got in touch to see if I would like to work with them in the run-up to the Party Season and I have been extremely excited about this collaboration as their collections are so well curated and certainly tailor to the more refin......

John Lewis Blogger Challenge

On the weekend I had the amazing opportunity to take part in a John Lewis blogger challenge at the Cardiff St Davids Store with Charli from Charli dot dot dot . We were each given a budget for which to find a festive christmas outfit. My budget was £500 to find an outfit from top to toe that would be perfect for a festive night out. Whenever I think of christmas I think of gold and silvers and wanted to incorporate that element into my outfit. I managed to put together my outfit just under the budget with it coming in at £458, I could of easily gone over as I spotted a lovely Ralph Lauren bag for £360 but that would not have left me very much for the rest of the outfit. John Lewis stocks so many amazing brands and I really wanted to showcase the diversity in the outfit with each piece being a different make but all working......

McQueen and Westwood a British Affair

With so many reasons to celebrate what is great about Britain, whether is be the Jubilee, Wimbledon or the Olympics, it's been hard not to get into the swing of things with bunting hanging in every kitchen and cream tea's back on the menu. It's made me think about the amazing home-grown fashion designers this country has produced over the past few years. With two of my all time favourites being Vivienne Westwood and the late Alexander McQueen , if only I could wake up tomorrow with an array of bags and clothes in my wardrobe by these two iconic designers I would be a very happy girl. It's hard not to love these two designers who take there influence from the British Punk movement and if you like me love stud’s, blacks, prints and anything rock and roll they are ones to check out. I have for many years lusted over the Alexander McQueen knuckle duster clutch and one day I will hopefully own one, even though I am a very minimalist person in myself I believe in inve......

Alexander McQueen Knuckle duster clutch

Alexander McQueens new Knuckle duster clutch bag.........a really edgy punky clutch...personally, I love loads of interesting rings and now you can combine this with a bag to make a real statement - I want it! They are all hard case clutches and come in different colours and materials, you can also buy the knuckle duster jewellery part by itself. Really interesting design and even though they are small the speak volumes. ...
