I have to be honest here and say although I have always liked white jeans paired up with some boat shoes in the summer for an easy nautical look I have never actually committed to buying a pair before, perhaps because white jeans plus small children and lots of travel and outdoor adventures don't perhaps go hand in hand. But now more than ever I think it's important for woman especially busy mothers to have some "me" time and thought why not purchase a pair for lunch dates in the city with John or even running errands minus the kids (we have too many sticky hand situations to chance it otherwise), so when I saw these from French Connection I thought why not. I often tend to gravitate towards black but as the days get shorter I really want to bring a lighter feel to my daily outfits with some soft pastel colours, whites and light greys. I have paired up the jeans with a Love Life top from F&F and a light dusty pink biker jacket from Zara and I think......

A little gathering
One of the many things I love about blogging is how it is no longer confined to the online world and how many amazing friends I have made through the community. Every now and then we meet-up either at events, birthdays, a simple coffee date or with the kids exploring the countryside, which is what we did a few weeks ago, just before the end of the school holidays. Myself and a few local bloggers headed up to Mountain Ranch in Caerphilly with kids in hand for a relaxed day spent in the sunshine while the little ones climbed trees, looked for fairies and got covered in mud. Mountain Ranch was the perfect location for our gathering, in the heart of South Wales it's a place that offers so much family friendly fun and lots of space for exploring and adventures. I find for some reason I end up not taking many photos at things like this, even though we are all bloggers and share parts of our life online it's nice to enjoy the moment as well as good conversation with o......

Christmas at Celtic Manor
So earlier this month I was kindly invited to an afternoon of wonderful conversation, beautiful table decor and of course some delicious tea and cake at the Celtic Manor - a stunning 5 star hotel on the outskirts of Newport as part of #MyCelticXmas. It was lovely to be given the chance to preview their Christmas Cream Tea and I can honestly say I was not disappointment at all, from beginning to end the whole experience was seamless and was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. When I arrived I was greeted by the friendly staff and offered a drink before be shown to my seat alongside some other lovely local bloggers. We had a quick briefing about the what the hotel offers and what to expect from the day and an insight into the new Celtic Manor blog which is really worth a read. I am already planning to return to take the little man to the Winter Wonderland which sounds amazing. After the briefing we were introduced to the head pastry chef who wa......

Laura and Cardiff fashion in Very Magazine
Wow really excited to be in this months Very.co.uk Magazine as part of a street style segment about Cardiff. I also contributed the Top 3 places to shop, eat and drink in the segment. It's always really fun when these kind of things happen and it's one of the lovely perks of being a blogger. My outfit is fairly typical of my style - a Nine west breton striped tee with a gifted faux-leather jacket, Max Studio trousers and Clarks brogues with a studded black bag, a sort of French inspired style with a little bit of NY street thrown in. In the feature is also two other lovely Cardiff based bloggers - Nina and Mia , do check out their blogs ...

Vivienne Westwood and St Davids Christmas
Our lovely mixologist from Kapu Lounge and the British Chase potato vodka - you must try!! Two weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited to a VIP Reception of the St Davids Christmas Shopping night and also have a sneak peak at Vivienne Westwood's new arrivals. As always it's great to meet up with other bloggers, catch up and see whats new in Cardiff. The VIP Reception had a casino theme with some amazing drinks by the lovely staff at The Kapu lounge who mixed some Chase (potato) vodka with flavours like Rhubarb for some interesting cocktails. There were tons of events going on in St Davids 2 for the launch of there Christmas Shopping nights and before I attended the reception I popped into The White Company to pick up some slippers for the little man, they offered their customers bubbly and mince pies - nothing better to get you in the christmas mood. After having a quick look around the other stores in St Davids we all met up again at Vivienne Westwood wer......
Me and Knackered Mummy having fun in the photo booth So on the 9th of November I woke up a stupid o'clock in the morning (AKA 5:30am) to catch the train to London for Mumsnet BlogFest, a little bit excited, although not quite sure what to expect. I have been to a few conferences and have mixed feelings about them, although this time I did know a few bloggers who were attending, which always makes things a little bit easier and less daunting. Early morning reading and porridge on the train I managed to get a very yummy Berry porridge on the train for a great little energy boost and Lauren from Knackered Mummy who I met only a few days before was getting on at one of the stops so it was nice to have someone to talk to on the trip and keep me awake as MR A had been up pretty much all of the night before. With regards to what to wear, I went for something fairly practical, a black dress by Kurt Muller paired with some grey leggings and my current go to shoes - my clark......
